“great find”

We had never been to Carmel and took a chance and hoped that we would get our money's worth . We got that, and much more, it was a wonderful place to stay, it was clean, comfortable, the breakfast was great and the staff was tops. By selecting this hotel , it made a wonderful trip even better. I will return and will recommend to anybody to stay at Comfort Inn Carmel By The Sea.

“Clean, cute, comfortable”

The Comfort Inn is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Carmel. We stayed here with a group of 6 adults, in three rooms. The hotel was easy to find on the corner of Ocean Ave. It has free off-street parking. The hotel has a cute patio with lots of flowers and plants. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist. The checking in process was a bit slow although we had made reservations. The rooms were small, but large enough to hold a king size bed. The furniture had a great contemporary, clean look, which we loved. The bed was very soft; I would have liked a harder mattrass. The walls were thin, and the television in an adjacent room could be heard at night. The fridge made a lot of noise too, so we unplugged it. Unfortunately, there were two boxes with leftover food from the previous guest (or the one before that???) in the fridge, so that started to smell pretty bad. The bathroom was sparkling clean, with everything we needed. Breakfast was included and it is served every day in the lobby. There was a surprisingly good selection of bagels, donuts, fruits, and cereals, and you can make your own waffles or toast. Overall, a good hotel in a very convenient location, with clean rooms, great breakfast, cute patio, and free parking.

“Excellent place to relax”

The woman at the front desk was extremely kind, the room was clean, and it was only two blocks from everything you would want to do in Carmel. Also it was within 5 minutes of Monterey and all the attractions there.Excellent place for the price.

“Nice hotel for the price”

Hotel is in a good location close to downtown shopping and restaurants. Front desk was very helpful with questions. Continental breakfast was better than average and free. I could see parking being a little bit of an issue but it was free. Overall we had a very good experience at the hotel.

“Bargain in Carmel”

If all you want is a clean bed in a nice little inn this is a real find. Recently renovated, very nice staff, respectable continental breakfast, good location top of Ocean Ave.

“Waling distance tourist attractions”

Intimate motel, right by tourists attractions. Older but nicely remodeled. Good breakfast.

“Great location, clean rooms, rude reception”

Great location, nice clean rooms at good value. The lady on the front desk spoke little English and was somewhat rude. She said I could not stow my bags for a few hours after I checked out (I was on a bus tour) but changed her mind and told me "one hour only".

“excellent value and location”

Exactly what you would expect for the price. Clean and comfortable. Receptionist was a little strange and free breakfast was not worth happening but good value for money and near some good restaurants.

“Carmel - a reasonable option”

I found this hotel really convenient, if I balance the price and the service and comfort of this hotel. The room was nice,comfortable and the bathroom really clean. They have complimentary breakfast and parking. Also, provide free conection to internet, which to me is really appreciated. Maybe, the only thing that wasn't good is the fact the hotel has not a good view, but the balance between price and quality the rate is the best.

This hotel was really great, friendly, and accommodating. The only problem I had was the temperature of the room. This is not controlled at your convenience.
