The room came with a Dutch door. We enjoyed thinking that Mr. Ed might have stayed here once. The room was clean. Although larger than other rooms with one bed it was smallish. At least could still move around easily. I've stayed in places in Florence and Manhattan where one's suitcase needs must block the front door. Not that cramped!
Sadly, they are not even able to provide breakfast to-go bags of croissant and butter. There is a breakfast place a half block away and Carmel Bakery is only a couple blocks away.
There is a lone fire pit. The propane tank was empty and I'm told no extra tanks are kept on site. Any tank offsite would not be available for a day or two. I thought that strange, but I wasn't really there for the firepit anyway.
Casanova restaurant is across the street and a fine place for lunch or supper. Reserve early.
The people at the front desk were friendly and generally cheerful. It appears that dogs are permitted in some rooms. A room or two come with a small outdoor balcony.
Water pressure in the shower was good. The coffee was good, but they should spring for the ultra-pasteurized real half-n-half not the powdered "coffee whitener".
I hope to visit again when fully operational. July 1, 2021 they commence a remodeling. Cheers!
