It was one of the few properties in town that offered 2 queen beds. It was fine for our stay since we were mostly visiting family in the area and not in the room that much. Bath towels were rather thin. You could hear quite clearly the people in the next room talking.
Overall, not a bad place. Would think about a return visit if I need 2 beds.

There was a huge ball of hair in our bathroom when we arrived and urine on the seats. HOWEVER the manager was sooooo helpful and apologetic and honestly embarrassed. They did a clean the next day and all was well.
Otherwise, all very comfortable minus the noise. Perhaps it was just because of where our room was located (next to an exterior door to the outdoor courtyard) but both mornings we were woken up at 7am to really loud conversations - the second day being cleaning staff having a conversation in the stairwell outside our room.
I hate complaining. But for $360/night just was hoping for a bit more.

The location is great - walkable to restaurants, shops and the beach. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice, clean and seemed to be newly renovated. The bathroom was small but clean. The free breakfast was ok and parking was available for free. ONE BIG MINUS - we booked the room ahead and the room was freezing cold! The heater took half of the night to bring up the temperature and this really spoiled our stay.

From one of the nicest check-ins I have ever experienced to the help getting a forgotten item back to us, this was a wonderful stay in a remodeled room. Right in the heart of Carmel-By-The-Sea, the Best Western Carmel Town House Lodge is a perfect place to begin and end a day in the enchanting town. Breakfast offerings are plentiful too. The pricing is fair, especially considering the competition.

This is the best combination of cleanliness, location, and price in Carmel! My room was updated and clean. The hotel is within walking distance of all of downtown Carmel. The staff is friendly, parking is free, and the stay includes breakfast.
My trip: solo, weekday, December.
5/5 will stay here again.

When we first arrived check in was very fast. However the first room given to us had urine in the toilet, dry urine in the toilet and a good amount of black long hair on the bathroom floor. It was clearly not cleaned. We were given another room right away after showing the staff the issues. It just made us question how clean the next room was. Also the pillows should be upgraded. We couldn’t sleep both nights because they were terrible and lumpy. It’s in a good location. No microwave available even upon request.

Excellent Service. Infact, we got upgraded to a bigger room so our kids could have separate space w/ beds. Best budget option w/ lots of dinning choices, walkable to Ocean Ave for shopping, beach etc. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Best Western Team :)

Great place. Pool is not heated. Breakfast was perfect. Location is great. The beach was amazing. Could do a better job with recycling in the entire town and hotel.

Great location within walking distance of several restaurants & downtown Carmel. Wonderful 2nd-floor deck with a view of the Pacific. The room was clean & location was safe. The staff was friendly & helpful.
We selected this facility for its more reasonably priced accommodations than most found in Carmel. We needed a clean room & safe location for leaving our luggage and sleeping in. We didn't spend much time otherwise there.
While there is parking for all rooms, the spaces are tight to get in & out of. We DON'T recommend the continental breakfast. The coffee was watery, the eggs were runny & the sausage was greasy. There are several nearby breakfast locations within walking distance. One of our favorites is the Village Corner (Delores & 6th).
We would stay here again for the reasons already stated.

Location great. The room was updated and nice. Bath had great shower. We had a king room which was very tight. There wasn't a reading chair although there was a desk chair. It was very clean. No A/C and it did get warm in there despite being late October. Most rooms are up a flight of stairs and there is no elevator. Since my wife and I have mobility issues, it was very difficult to get our luggage up and down and they made no offer to help us with luggage. Breakfast was meager. Cereal choices were terrible and they did have scrambled eggs, bacon and waffle iron but looked it over and went out for breakfast. Overall, very clean, room updated but facility worn, breakfast weak and service minimal.

This hotel surprised us. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, bathrooms have been recently redecorated which makes it feel slightly more luxurious. Care has been taken to make the hotel look cosy (flowers, etc) so it doesn’t feel depressing. Breakfast is great, lots of variety. Very functional and comfortable, would recommend it as a less pricey option in Carmel.

The hotel staff was so nice and even gave us some tips on places to visit. The room was nice and bed was comfortable and clean. They had a nice balcony area looking over down town area. The location is great and right off the main shopping spots.The only problem was we spent about $8 at the vending machine to find out once we got back to the room and saw all the candy and nuts were expired for 10 months. Wasn’t that big of a deal though we still enjoyed our visit.

The only thing, not a complaint: I would of liked for it to have an A/C unit. They do provide a tower fan and we did sleep with the windows open, so that was sufficient. If we would of came in the summer it would of been horrible.

I love how walkable this little town is! We were ten minutes from the beach and all the shops and restaurants are right nearby! They do close early and can get quite busy so make sure you plan ahead
