Love staying here!! It's close to the beach and boardwalk. Super friendly staff. Woman that works the front desk is always super nice even though I'm usually checking in late at night!!

Great location but the room was filthy! There was something spilled all over the chair in our room, maybe coffee? There was burn marks inside of a drawer and stain spots. Nope, not putting anything in there. The sheets smelled like bleach and seemed clean, so that part was ok. The beds were comfy too. It was just a grimy room. I didn’t want to take my socks off.

THEY NO LONGER OFFER BREAKFAST ( IT'S BEEN OVER A YEAR), EVERYTHING FROM THE WALLS TO THE FLOOR WERE COVERED WITH DIRT. THE BATHROOM HAD HAIR ALL OVER INCLUDING THE TOILET. THE DOOR HANDLE WAS SAGGING WHEN WE FIRST GOT THERE LIKE SOMEONE TRIED TO BREAK IN. I DON'T RECOMMEND.

Not enough parking. No skirt on the bed which showed off terrible stains. Staff was a little rude. Low water pressure made the water jittery in the shower.

Blood in towels, dirty linens. It was clear that bed linens were not changed in who knows how long. Broken lock on door, both challenging enter with key card and the “bolt lock” was literally falling out of the wall… multiple things were broken in the room. Walls splattered with who knows what. Wall rotting in restroom. Temperature stuck to freezing in fridge so storing food/beverages was impossible. Who knows if we will ever get our safety deposit back. Definitely should have read reviews prior to booking. Do not recommend, even for the lower than average price. You will regret it…

Super Disappointed!
Booked room same day for stay that evening. Drove over the mountain to hotel. Was told by front desk that they were sold out. Was informed that 26 other people that used hotels.com were told the same. Hotel desk gave me an 800 number to call hotels.com to ask for refund. Called the number and was put on hold several times and tranfered twice to different agents. Was offered to stay at less desireable hotel at a higher rate and thati would have to pay the difference. Finally was able to get a refund processed (2-3 business days]). Then drove back over the mountains to head back home. Hotel said it was hotels.com fault. Hotels.com said it was hotel's fault. Don’t know who to believe. Just know that i would be very reluctant to use either one of these businesses again. 1st time there bad, 2cnd time my bad. Safer and worth paying a little extra to book direct with hotel than trust an app.

A place to lay your head in Santa Cruz
The room had tore up miniblinds A burn along the sink Holes in the wall I couldn’t turn on the tv(‘no signal’) Coffee maker and microwave were filthy. The parking is atrocious-like people will park ANYWHERE-, even in no parking areas; Or, even block your car in during the night. It was pretty bad. Ran into a couple of shady characters parked on the street(when we couldn’t find parking in the lot) The positives: it’s (relatively) close to the boardwalk. The bed was comfortable, with clean sheets and a nice comforter. The fridge was clean. The shower, toilet and sink were clean. Floors clean.

There is not enough parking we had to park on the street in the metered parking. We had no microwave in the room but the office brought one per our request. Bith times we stayed her there was quite a few tweekers around.

At the time of reservation, the room was listed at $179.00, with a 10% discount from $199.00. But one I was ready to book the room and pay for it, it was listed again at $199.00. The total with taxes and fees was supposed to be $246.00. I was charged $267.99 instead. Book directly with the hotel!! The room was not very clean, one towel was not exactly clean and the tv did not work!

Staff called and asked if I wanted the room cleaned. I said yes, I will be out of the room between 9am-3pm. Got back to the room at 5pm and the room had not been touched. Bummer. Next morning, I am up early. My truck is blocked in by a car parked not in a parking space. Kind of on a tight timeline. Called the emergency number, this gal was great. Came right over. Figured out who owned the car - the guy who lives and works at the hotel. What? Anyway, needless to say, you get what you pay for. Won’t be staying here again.

We arrived at the hotel at 10pm after a wedding. We checked in at the front desk for our room and was provided a parking pass for the night. However, there were no remaining parking spots in the lot. When we asked the man at the front desk where to park, he suggested that we park in front of another guests car for the night since no one would be leaving. We asked if we could park on the street and he said yes, if we felt comfortable to....which made it sound as if that would not be a good idea. But given there was no other option, my husband parked the car 2 blocks away in the closest spot available. Upon entering our room, the floor was dirty, the top lock latch was broken and the bathroom looked only about half clean. At that point we did not feel safe staying at this location. The hotel clerk at the front desk had now left for his second job and the lobby was closed. We called the phone number on the front door and spoke to someone who ensured us that we could leave and receive a refund. 1 week later, after multiple follow up calls with the owner and expedia, no refund has been given.

If the hotel is booked- there’s limited parking! Rooms are alright, but the area is so walkable! Everything is a 5-10 minute walk. Front desk staff are friendly and attentive. We would definitely visit this location again.

A cool day by the beach.
It is an older place but well worth the money, great location, easy walking distance to downtown and the boardwalk. Good breakfast burrito shop across the street.
