“I will never go back the Wexford hotel”
Worst hotel I have ever been to.
“good if you need to stay in montego bay”
I have nothing bad to say about the hotel itself. It is clean, breakfast that is offered is good. It is across the street/walking distance from 2 nice beaches in montego bay. It is close to the airport and has a handful of places to eat close by(walking distance). It is in walking distance from downtown Montego Bay/the bus park. Downsides: there is a club next door that played VERY loud mucic 3 of the 7 nights I was there. It was so loud that the bass was making the glass windows vibrate. Also, if I would have known more about Jamaica, I would have known that Ocho Rios is a better place to stay with more things to do for tourists. Like I said, this hotel is good if you need to stay in Montego Bay.
“Okay”
The hotel needs to be upgraded and painted. Better pillows and mattress on bed. Need to serve more American Breakfast with the free full service Breakfast. Didn't care for Jamaican food every morning.
“Great Hotel!”
This Hotel is perfect for a low budget. What I liked most is it was directly on the hip strip and close to all the nightclubs. The hotel was fair but you get what you pay for. It didnt really matter to me because I was partying most of the time anyway. If you are looking for peace and quiet then this is not the hotel for you. Non stop partying goes on all night and you can hear the music from your room. The ocean view was very pretty. It was nice to wake up and see the beach every morning. I would definately stay here again. If your partying; be sure to check out Margaritaville Night Club directly down the street!
“Great Hotel to spend your vacation”
I loved the great experience at the Wexford Hotel. Buffet is served daily with Jamaican food for breakfast (as a guest, you get complimentary breakfast). The rooms are very great, clean and the housekeepers are very friendly. The Hotel Manager comes on the front every morning to make sure that the guests are comfortable and happy. The Executive chef makes sure to come out also and speaks to guests to make sure everything is ok with the food ( which is great). The front desks staffs, bartender, waiters/waitresses & bellman makes sure all the guests are comfortable at all times. My overall experience was great there. Wexford has come a very long way, this is the best I have seen the hotel and I loved what I see. They are also extending the hotel with additional suites. I got married at this hotel over 12yrs ago and I am now very proud about the new changes to this great hotel on the Hip Strip in Montego Bay.
“would never go back!!!!”
overall just had a bad experiences one after the other. everyone giving you the run around it was just very annoying.
“Ok for a non-luxury vacation”
The hotel is very conveniently located on the hip-strip, we did get the free shuttle from the airport that we scheduled with the hotel prior to arrival, complementary breakfast was available each mornign and was AWESOME!!! We paid about $5 extra per night for the ocean view which was beautiful but the rooms are right above the busy road on the strip and traffic noise and music from neighboring nighlife places made it almost impossible to sleep. The toilet in the bathroom did not stop running even after we called them to fix it. The room furniture were dated and missing drawer handles. The pool is not conveniently located, their were construction workers doing work next to the pool and the pool bar only opens on special occasions so it was closed. You are also not allowed to have visitors in your room after 6:pm without Manager approval even if the visitors are not staying overnight. This place is ok if you plan on being outdoors for most of your trip. There is no room comfort.
“Jamaican Being a Tourist”
I was totally pleased with this hotel and will stay there again. I've stayed there for the past 5-years and see no need to change.
“had a blast”
the hotel is very centrally located in the tourist area.you can walk to a front downtown, shed some of the weight.its safe to walk around, i went out around 9 to come back around 5-6 in the morning.just watch yourself for peddlers.about the hotel everybody is friendly the only thing that bug me was the free airport/hotel shuttle,it says on the website, i guess noone knows about it because when irequested one they ask for 15 usd and i had to reminder them that was part of the package.i mean if i have to pay for i will rent a car.the food was good and not too expensive.
“Jamaica Yes......Wexford Court Hotel NO!!!”
Staff Friendly and helpful, food quality good, prices very fair. They advertise that they have internet service, but should tell you it is Only available in the lobby, which rarely is air conditioned and has loud music from the bar in the evening. The lobby has very poor lighting as well. This place is so undermaintained it is hard to describe. I have not seen a smaller Otis elavator since I visited Russia in 1998. The hotel was not full, yet they placed us in a room directly across from their major construction that started at 8am and very loud all day. I am here on business and need to work from my room if I want AC or in the hot lobby if I want internet. The beds are awful. A large board under the mattress. AC unit leaked so badly we had to put a bucket under it. Only lighting was 3 flourescent bulbs, 1 between the 2 beds, 1 in entrance, and 1 in bathroom. They advertise free airport transportation, but the driver charged us real good. I did report it at check-in and was told I would be paid back. Two days later I asked for it and did receive the money. I am confident if I had not been persistant I would not have received the money. Bathroom was clean, and water pressure was good, however the morning we were leaving it was brush your teeth with bottled water, and forget the shower because they had no water. The last day there I asked for a lamp in my room and they did provide it. Jamaica Yes.....Wexford Court Hotel NO!!!!!!
