The Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort is outstanding in almost every way. It is very easy to get to from Nice airport. We wanted to go along the coast from Nice, so decided to get the train which cost a mere 4.50euros and took about 30 minutes. We then took bus number 6 from Monte Carlo train station which takes you directly to the hotel in about 5 minutes. The hotel is on a beautiful corner spot, on the edge of the bay and with a beautiful pebble beach surrounding it, which you can access just next to the hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by very friendly front of house staff, and even though we were only staying 1 night, we were given a room upgrade to an 8th floor sea view. The room was fantastic (room 823)- the balcony has comfortable loungers and furniture with wonderful views over the pool, the bay and the city. The rooms are super modern and the bathroom was amazing - with a deep bath with separate shower attachment, an individual shower unit and an individual WC behind a frosted glass door. The pool area is just wonderful, and all the reviews of this are true! It is outstanding. We ate at the Blue Bay Michelin starred restaurant - we opted for the discovery menu which is such good value at 88euros - you get your 4 main courses but also added extras which we weren't expecting and which were a lovely touch. The cocktails in the Blue Gin bar are to die for! Try the Caipirinhas! Breakfast was fab,a great selection. We will be back for sure!

I live in Monaco but as I was getting married decided to treat myself to the weekend in the Metropole. I could not fault a single thing during the entire experience. The hotel itself is charming- traditional without being stuffy. The pool area is gorgeous. However the most impressive aspect is the service. Every member of staff is helpful, friendly and bilingual (!). And when they realised I was getting married - everybody expressed congratulations - even if I hadn't seen them before. It was a very impressive operation. Will definitely be back for my anniversary.
Hotel was really nice. But the wifi was a pain in the neck (kept cutting out, didn't work well, couldn't log on) and they tried to charge a ridiculous amount for it. Luckily they did end up not charging me. Wifi dod get better after a couple of days. Apart from that, hotel was nice and it has a great location.
We had a really enjoyable time in Monaco and the Hotel de Paris enhanced the experience. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and felt we should celebrate in style in Le Grill restaurant on the 8th floor at the top of the hotel. The food was good, staff were attentive and we had a really enjoyable experience.

Check in easy & straight forward, staff throughout entire hotel very friendly. Very clean, had excellent terrace area on 7th floor, with nice view & very well kept pool area. From bar snacks to restraurant meals, quality food throughout. Really was a wonderful place to stay.
Everything was excellent. Staff was superb, room was nice and location was excellent. Bed was horrible, however. Mattress and possibly springs were in serious need of replacement. Had we stayed another day, we would have had to move to another room with a decent bed.
