“Would Stay Here Again”
We stayed at the Plaza St Bernard for a Friday & Saturday night in Aug 2011. The hotel was conveniently located in the 'center' of activities. We had a loft room facing the non pedestrial street side of the hotel. We also had a balcony and we strongly recommend this as a must. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on our balcony with a glass of wine enjoying the view, people watching and the peacefulness. We would grant that having a balcony on the opposite side of the hotel overlooking the street may be a goal for another visit. We acknowledge that this is probably not as quiet but could be interesting. The room was clean, spacious and the floor plan was awesome. It was just the two of us in the 2 bedroom/2 bath unit and this unit would easily accomodate 2 couples or a family. There was a pull out sofa in the livingroom. The livingroom furniture was showing some wear and either was due for replacement or at the very least a good steam cleaning. Our unit must have been directly above the kitchen of the restaurant below us as at times we had to turn our stove fan on to remove the smell of fried food. The fan did an effective job of accomplishing this task. We only used the kitchen for snacks and beverages but it was well stocked and you could easily prepare your own food. The pedestrian village offers great restaurants and entertainment. Would we go back - yes. Would we recommend to our friends - we already have.
“Excellent location, practically no service. The official front desk is in other building.”
On the third day when I was sking and my wife stayed at the room the hotel the administration came and tried to take her out of the room. They said that I was suppose to leave but finally they realized that they were wrong. When I was checking out they told me that I needed to pay. I asked to check my confirmation and finally they realized it was already paid to expedia. Anyway they asked for a "service" charge that I payed so I can take the tranportation that was wating for me.
“Comfortable room, service can be better”
The room has all the things you need for a fine dinner for the family, with kitchenware, plates, and even wine glasses. It was clean and, thought there was a rather loud family gathering next door, the sound protection was decent to muffle it to an acceptable level. The bathroom light did not work at the time, though I suspect it is not the norm. The desk service was fast but could use improvement. The room was not ready by the time of our notified arrival and when I asked when it would be available, her answer was negative and shot with rejection. It was something like "maybe this afternoon, maybe the evening, who knows?" with a very condescending and humiliating tone. To say the least, I was pissed off. In fairness, we had a different person when we came back who was far more courteous so I would be cautious in writing off the hotel. Overall the room was comfortable, clean, and pleasant, with a great location in the center of the village. If you don't mind dealing with the occasional hostility from disgruntled/arrogant staff, and the elevator breaking every now and then you may want to consider this place.
“Great Location and Room”
We have a 1 year old and the condo with a full kitchen is the only way to go. We were right in the heart of the pedestrian village and were within walking distance of many restaurants and other attractions.
“good one but some rooms are very noisy”
The hotel is in very good location but the room we got was on the second floor facing the snakes & ladder game on the road and very noisy. Noise was very loud we could not sleep till 3.00 a.m Try find the room opposite to the road. Hotel is very clean and excellent location
“Pleasant getaway”
Check in was time consuming while we waited behind people who were complaining about lost reservations. Otherwise we very much enjoyed the hotel, fascilities and surroundings.
“Très bel endroit pour les vacances”
Chambre très bien. Localisation excellente.
