“Will definitely return”

Novotel Monaco is situated in a perfect location. Last time we were in the area the hotel was being built and we have been looking forward to the opportunity to return and stay, and it more than lived up to expectations.

“very good value for Monte Carlo”

Can't fault this hotel. Excellent food, service, room. Monte Carlo is not cheap, but this was very good value condsidering. We stayed in a number of other hotels on a trip from here to Toulouse, and this was by far the best. Also very convenient location. I can also recommend the Blue Gin in the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel for cocktails overlooking the sea!

“Wonderful tonight”

We loved the architecture, the decorations, the ambiance and view. Front desk personal, valet and breakfast server were very friendly and attentive. The location was superb for walking and yet parking was easy... We would definitely stay at this hotel again!!!!

“Looking forward to a return visit especially if I receive a room update.”

Enjoyed a really good holiday at this very good hotel. The staff were very helpful, friendly and always had a smile on their faces. Particularly enjoyed the upgraded room which we was offered because a was termed a "regular client". The room itself was spotless with a very pleasant smell around the place. Enjoyed very good nights of sleep in comfortable beds despite being located near a main road. Lovely atmosphere all around the hotel.

Area recommendations

I would recommend this area to particularly anyone who does not like climbing hills. We are regular walkers within limits and found this area easy to access. Access to Casino Square and back to this area can now be achieved by using an esculator through a shopping arcade, something we discovered on our last visit. What a help when you are tired and not so young.

When to go

Early September - still warm - not so many children around.

Getting there

We booked a private hire car on the internet from Nice Airport to the Novotel. It was expensive (£145) to get us there and back but the big plus was that it went without an hitch. Taking into consideration, NO car hire, NO hotel parking charges, NO car parking charges when we went out, NO filling up with petrol and NO fighting with other car users on the congested roads. Overall with transport seemingly cheap against these charges, I am satisfied we made the right decision. Can only describe the flights as flustrating and chaotic - nothing changes there I am affraid.

Dining

Plenty of good eating houses offering value for money if you are prepared to look and study menus outside these places.

“Convenient location”

Hotel was a five minute walk from train station. Staff very pleasant. Room was abit small but clean and had everything you need. Bed very firm. Casino, shops and Marina all very easy to reach within a few minutes.

“Great Stay!!!!!”

Lovely Hotel very comfortable except for the Pillows! Had lunch beside the pool, very nice we both had The Novotel Club Sandwich, Yum! Yum! Lovely staff at Reception.

Area recommendations

This Hotel is a very short walk from The Monte Carlo Railway Station. We found the best way from the Hotel was to go via the Station as you can use the Lift & Escalator which brings you down near The Marina. Novelty Train Tour very good & well priced, also boat across Marina to Museum reasonable too, at the Museum you can see a movie on the history of Monaco!!!

“Great Hotel”

Excellent hotel. On arrival we got upgraded free of charge and the quality of the room was excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel was spotless throughout and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing - great quality food and as much as want. 2 minute walk from train station and well positioned for getting around Monaco. Would definitely return here.

“Excellent Hotel”

Great hotel which I would recommend to any of my friends. We stayed for 2 nights to round off a whistle stop tour of a trip from Bordeaux to the Riviera and booked the hotel due what appeared to be an ideal location and value for money considering the hotels in Monaco. We weren't disappointed. Hotel 5 minute walk from Monte Carlo Casino and by using the adjacent Train Station elevator a quick journey of no more than 10 minutes to the harbour on foot. Lovely pool and plenty of loungers. Restaurant did a buffet for 32 Euros which was excellent value although the food was average but all you could eat. Hotel staff very friendly and couteous. Left car outside the front door and the car was taken to the car park in the basement at a cost of 26 Euros / night which as we found in France is too extorsionate. Very good and would go back tomorrow

“Not impressed but good.”

This hotel is a nice place where you can stay and spend not that much money like most of Monaco Hotels, remember that everything is Really Expensive in Monaco.

Everywhere in Monaco is safe and nice. Everything is close to go by walk, if you have a car, expect to spend lots of money in parkings.....
