“Beautiful Hotel in an Awesome Location”

We stayed 2 nights and 3 days at the Port Palace Hotel. Our room, located on the 3rd floor had wonderful views of the yacht harbour. The amenities were very modern - in the luxury class. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hotel Port Palace. A tip - request a room on the 4th or 5th floor for even more spectacular views.

Area recommendations
Monte Carlo is a beautiful city to visit. Nice restaurants, beautiful views and the area surrounding the palace is well worth visiting.

“Great Monaco Hotel”

I had a great time at the Hotel Port Monaco. My greeting at the door was amazing and the front desk staff was personable and spoke English. My room was facing the harbor which was lovely but a little noisy. I would opt for a room on a higher floor. The hotel is a short 10-15 min walk from the Casino as well as the Hotel de Paris. It was very comfortable and I would definitely return.

Area recommendations
I had a great Expedia tour by Med-Tours.com. They were great at showing me the Monte Carlo.
Getting there
I used Med-Tours.com via Expedia to go from Cannes to Monaco. It was a great deal and I saw Antibes, Eze, St. Paul de Vence along the way.
Dining
I had a good meal at Cafe de Paris which overlooks the Hotel de Paris and the casino. The area in the back is the restaurant and the area in the front is more casual.

“Fantastic time, looking forward to returning”

Fantastic stay in Monaco, great Hotel, great views, and really friendly helpful staff made our stay easy. The hotel is very modern and clean, large rooms. Found the restaurants around town to be great value and very friendly. Bus 100 is very good for trips to Nice. This Hotel is situated good walking distance of the sights to see.

“Incredible experience ~ spoil yourself here!”

This was a real splurge for our budget conscious honeymoon. Our room was just incredible. Everything you could imagine. We were on the third floor (rooms are on floors 1 - 5) and every room overlooks the harbour). Level 3 has an amazing outlook onto the super yachts that back right up to the jetty - you are looking out your room nearly at eye level with the people on the boats. Level 2 has the best views of the track if you are interested in formula one. The restaurant is very popular and has a michelin star. You can walk from here to the casino or around the harbour very easily.

What to pack
Monaco is very glamourous - pack your heels!
Dining
There are loads of reasonably priced cafe style eateries around the harbour, avoid the hotel restaurants if you are on a budget. The restaurants around the casino are very popular, I recommend you book a day in advance if you want a good table, otherwise you can wait up to half an hour for a table in the back.

“sensational view”

Nice quiet hotel in a great spot.Our room had a spectacular view of the million dollar yachts.The room was big enough,with a great marble bathroom.Breakfast area also had awesome views,& the hotel was an easy 5 minute stroll (uphill) to casino.Would higly recommend this hotel for the price.The only negative was that our wakeup call on our last morning was missed.Had i not woken in time we would have missed our train to Spain.

Area recommendations
Must visit the Palace & the casino,if only to check out the amazing array of luxury cars out front.Also worthwhile is the electric ferry across the harbour-very cheap & nice way to see the yachts.

“Nice choice”

Only negative was the inability to connect to the internet. We had hotel person up to the room a couple of times, and while he could connect a hotel laptop, our laptop would not connect. Also, while the location right at the marina was nice in March, I can imagine that in season it could be very busy and noisy.

“Very good stay”

Excellent location with helpful, although occasionally absent minded staff (wake up calls to wrong rooms etc) and superb atmosphere. Rooms were large, clean, modern and comfortable and hotel decor is the same. Our room on the third floor had good views of the harbour, I think if you are in the 2nd floor or below, your view will be completely obscured by trees. Mandarin restaurant was welcoming with delicious food, though expect to pay for this michellin starred treat. The included breakfast is healthy and fresh, which is great when enjoyed on the terrace with beautiful views over the marina.

Bus 100 from Nice, having taken local bus in to town, will cost a total of 5 Euros and take around an hour. Taxi will cost around 100 euros and take around 25 minutes

“A Deal In Monte Carlo”

Very reasonably priced in comparison with other hotels in the area. Great location on harbor and close to Casino. Good restaurants close by.

“Great Hotel in Monaco”

Great location, nice view, nice rooms, good service. All in all very nice. Only curious why no hotels offer HBO or other english movies, but that's ok, I spent most of the time at Casino MonteCarlo which was 3 minute walk away. Helpful concierge too.
