“Outstanding luxury for a budget price”

The hotel is easily found directly opposite exit from Modena SUD (if traveling south). the hotel is a new building with impressive marbled walk in shower. a nice touch was the supplied bathrobe. Wifi worked well in room, tv choice was average for Italy, had BBC world news and CNN. Breakfast was included...amazing value. Parking no problem and importantly no charge. Ideal location to stay if you are visiting Ferrari or Lamboghini as both are 30 mins away in opposite directions. This was one of the cleanist hotels i have come accross in all my travels. Oh yes there is a (I think free)gym and a spa but i did not use them. The town centre is about 12 mins away by car, and is a fantasic old town with lots of shops and places to eat.

What to pack

A good camera, and flat shoes. there is a lot of walking to do if you dont want to risk getting a bus and not knowing where it goes, huch to pay etc. There are Borris bikes but again you would need to do a little reseach before hand to use it. For some reason the chain of electrical stores Darty.ie dont have a branch here and if you need something electrical like a memory card or such it can be a mission to find a store. Clothes and shoe shops in abundance.

Must see

A visit to Ferrari can be booked on line, however the track and factory tour is a seperate company and Barclays see them as on there list of fraudlent websites so you may have trouble booling online. However a email to the ferrari museam will allow them to reserve a place for you. The tour would be best taken on a working day as there is little to see on a Sat/sun. However the best is the lamborghini tour, you are right in with the workers making the cars, you can touch the parts and feel the leather, the guide had such passion you would nearly just buy one there and then. At both places there are companies offering test drives, the one at Ferrari is a little pushy and misleading as by "around the track" they mean around the outside of the track on the public roads, which even on sunday have a lot of traffic and there are no real places to get a drive in if you go for 10 mins. However opposite the main gate of lamborghini, and a little hidden you will see the iLLY red signs on whats called BullBar. there is a brand new cafe and car hire/road test place. Considering this is out in the countryside there are long flat roads that one could maybe see 200kph+. Also the staff were friendly. The rate at ferrari is 60 euro to 120 euro for 10 min, depending on car. 20 euro for video (must). At lamborghini its 120 for 10 as the only have lambo's and a R8 convertable, but i did haggle a little discount. Both tours do not allow cameras or mobile phones except for the static museam

“Probably best hotel in Modena area.”

Only about a 15 min drive from downtown Modena. A far better deal for the price and quality compared to the hotels closer and in the city. The spa was a bonus however it wasn't open until 530PM.

“Recommended”

Excellent hotel. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Very clean. Good, quiet room. Central spot for car touring / sites / history (Parma, Bologna, Ravenna, Rimini, Verona, Ferrari GallerieGuarda, Venice by train). Sauna, turkish bath, fitness suite and jaccuzzi free for residents. Can get snacks / pizza at hotel cafe without having a meal. Popular place with Italians. Roadchef steak house next door (excellent value).

“Fini - Hotels in Modena sind Klasse !!!”

TV im Zimmer funktioniert nicht. Sonst ist alles OK. Bestens geeignet für Zwischenübernachtung auf dem Weg nach Süden. Unmittelbar an der A1 gelegen. Wir buchen das nächste mal wieder ein FINI-Hotel in Modena.

“L'deale per chi vuole spezzare un lungo viaggio.”

L'hotel si trova in posizione strategica a metà strada tra nord e sud Italia. Chi come me deve affrontare un lungo viaggio in auto e desidera rendere meno pesante il tragitto troverà in questo hotel a soli duecento metri dall'uscita Modena Sud sulla A1 una tappa ideale del suo viaggio.

sono rimasta molto sottisfatta, un hotel molto grande e arredato con molto gusto, la camere spaziose e una doccia bellissima. la colazione buona e abbondante. un hotel che consiglio a tutti!

abbiamo mangiato in diversi ristoranti di modena, uno vicinissimo all'hotel "maxela" dove la specialità è la carne -buonissima- ma il ristorante che consiglio è il "red planet" nel centro di modena, un posticino proprio carino, ben arredato e si mangia da favola.

“Sehr gerne wieder, da TOP Ausstattung und Service, besonders das Frühstück war Spitze!!!”

Dieses Hotel hat seine 4 Sterne wirklich verdient. Es war sehr sauber, modern eingerichtet und der Service stets freundlich. Erwähnenswert ist das wirklich sehr gute Frühstück, da eine große Auswahl, alles frisch und von bester Qualität. Das Hotel wird weiterempfohlen und sind wir wieder einmal in der Gegend um Modena, so werden wir sicher dort übernachten.
