“Always been a Hilton Garden Inn Fan, but was disappointed for the second time.”

We were really looking forward to our stay in Mobile, but was sadly disappointed when we departed our hotel. Housekeeping needs a good check on linens, blood was found on the nice duvet cover and seemed old and unwashed, ugh! The room door could use a strip on the bottom of the door (light from the hall coming in the room) the room smelled and the curtains fell short and plenty light coming in from the outside window. The breakfast was decent , but the French Toast fell short in my book (two small pieces the size of a door knob for 9.95) The staff was very courteous, but when the problem was brought to their attention, no attempts were made to satisfy a repeat customer. This is the second time.....Hilton, what's happening??

“Decent hotel stay”

I was disappointed that there was not a complimentary breakfast at this hotel. The only other negative was that there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Everything else seemed great!

“Would stay there again next time I'm in Mobile”

Check in was easy. Room was spacious. Very clean. Pleasant staff. Many restaurants in the area.

Area recommendations

Must go to the USS Alabama. Wintzell's Oyster House was great. If you like a variety of beer to drink - more than Bud, Coors, and Miller, then you must go to Hopjacks. Great bar and friendly staff.

Go to Hopjacks for a great variety of beer.

“Most quiet hotel room ever!”

My wife and I checked into our King Evolution room on Thursday May 19th 2011 at 10:30 PM. The staff was friendly and parking plentiful. Despite the hotel being located next to an Interstate and the adjacent room being occupied, we heard not a sound, not even plumbing noises nor doors slamming, for our entire four day stay. To maximize room space, the bathroom was a bit cramped. While we never used the adjustments on our Garden Sleep System Bed, it was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we've encountered.

Dining

Among the many restaurants, The Spot of Tea in downtown Mobile stood out. The best strawberry iced tea ever!

“Very nice”

This was a very nice hotel. We will use them again next year when we go back to Mobicon. In fact expedia was 10$ cheaper than the ashbury where the convention was held.
