Hidden gem

Posted 28-Jun-2015
Pros: Charm in the middle of downtown. The friendlyness of the staff and knowledge of things to do and see in the local area. Very impressive.
Cons: Bigger parking lot and to ease of finding property
Location: Lot of information was provided by host upon arrival based upon one's desire of actitviies or lack thereof.
First time in a b&b. Well impressed with the location, the quiet, charm and quality of the host in this historic house

Better Than a Hotel

Posted 27-Jun-2015
Pros: Character of the building and surrounding area. Good parking. Awesome pool.
Cons: Everything was satisfactory
Location: Great restaurants. Close to downtown. Easy enough access to I-10 and the port.
Even though we had bad weather and could not fully utilize the pool, it was lovely. Steve has a nice home. We stayed in the cottage behind the house, by the pool. It's nice. The bed was comfortable. All amenities were functional. I liked the shower. The host is an interesting person. The other guests were interesting conversationalists, also. The host recommended a restaurant nearby and we ate there - had a great meal. We would do this again.

Wedding Night

Posted 23-May-2015
Pros: The size of the room.
Cons: NA
Location: We had married downtown so we were close to Mobile's clubs and restaurants.
It was very enjoyable and everything was very nice. Those working there were very welcoming and polite. The room was decorated nicely and the bed was very comfortable. We would recommend the B&B to everyone. In the future we plan to go back for a longer stay.

Our stay at Berney/Fly Bed and Breakfast

Posted 09-Apr-2015
Pros: The historic nature of the house and the convenience to restaurants in town.
We had a great stay at this historic house in Mobile, AL. It was easy to find and close to a great restaurant, Kitchen on George, which we walked to. The proprietor, Steven, was a wonderful host at the B&B and made us feel at home. The room was very large and not too noisy, even though the B&B is located on a busy street. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoying Mobile

Posted 29-Mar-2015 on Hotels
Stephen was very hospitable, and cooked a great breakfast for us, including the best pancakes I've ever had. We enjoyed a walk around the neighborhood to look at the beautiful houses, and Stephen recommended an excellent restaurant within walking distance for dinner. He also recommended several things to see and do while we were in Mobile. Keep in mind that this is a historic property, so it has a few little quirks, but we were very comfortable.

Beautiful area, great place to stay!

Posted 29-Mar-2015
We were just stopping by Mobile along our west-to-east road trip and were pleasantly surprised. I always try to stay at bed and breakfasts because I enjoy the hospitality. This was no exception. Great innkeeper, great breakfast, refreshing conversations with strangers, excellent dinner suggestion of "Kitchen on George". All around great last day before driving back home to Cocoa Beach, Florida.
