“It's getting better”
As the Hotel recovers from the flood the amenities will become available . The 1st floor, lobby, of the hotel has not been completely remodeled as of now but my room was very clean, bright and large. The hot water wasn't quite hot enough in the shower.
“Nice and close to the zoo”
pool area was quite salty--never had that at a pool before...but the kids had a blast!
“Minot's best”
We had a wonderful stay at the Minot Holiday Inn Riverside. Staff was very accomodating and were able to meet our request for an early check in time. I just wish they had a better restaurant attached to the hotel. The Ground Round was a big disappointment. My husband had the chili and it tasted burnt. I had seafood pasta and it was very lacking in seafood. Two scallops and three shrimp.
“Please don't expect courtesy from the front desk!”
Not a "Hello" or even a look to acknowledge our presence, and after realizing she had made a mistake with the credit card supposedly attached to our bill, and after treating us like trash, did not even attempt to appologize or make it up to us, just acted as though it was someone else's fault. Very dissappointed, will not return. They could have let us know in advance that they were making renovations to hot tub, only accessesible water was the kiddy pool.
“Minot HI”
I've never reallly been a fan of Holiday Inn. It was what was available at the time in Minow. I think the accomodations of Holiday Inns in general are sub-par and favor folks who just want a bed and place to drink at the bar.
“** Don't go for a casino you will be disappointed.”
The hotel was advertised to have a casino. We found out there was two poker tables. Did not see a dealer. Only to find out the dealer was there but sitting at the bar watching TV. We thought there was a fairly large casino ajoined to the hotel. The resturant that was adjoined to the hotel was not the best food. Parking was terrible because of Christmas parties that were taking place in there function Rooms. But, the hotel staff was very friendly. Also, the hot tub was not relaxing . Kids were in there splashing
“Noisy but comfortable”
The Hotel itself was good but our room had a window looking into the pool area so it was non stop NOISE NOISE NOISE from 8am when it opened until 11pm when it closed. AND our card keys didn't work very well. Had to get them re-keyed 4 times in 2 days. Breakfast was good.
“Not so good for a Holiday Inn!”
I checked in a room to find out that there was an open, half-used mouthwash in the room. I braught it down to the front desk, they gave me a new one but no apology offered. Didn't get the wake-up call I had scheduled for the next day, again, complained to front-desk, No apology! I went to the bar to have the drink and the bar tender was too busy celebrating birth-day of one of her girlfriends, never said hello, no hows your day nothing...just came up and asked me what can I get you, slammed the drink on the counter and went back talking to her friends. I know we are in North Dakota not New York City but the hospitality standards should not be that different. The next day my bedsheet was chaned and the one put on had some stains all over them. I asked for new linen and new blanket and they came an hour later only with a blanket. I slept on bear mattress with blanket over me. I belong to service industry as well and give hotels and other businesses a lot of benefit of doubt and sympothy that is why I did not complain to Holiday Inn about my experience but this hotels seems like their staff members can surely use regular training in guest services.
“Great experience in Minot”
This full-service Holiday Inn provides all one could want in a first class experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, going out of the way to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. We certainly will use the hotel again on any future visits to Minot and could not recommend it more highly.
“Not bad but no breakfast!”
