“Beware of Extra Charges”

We stayed for five nights at the Sheraton Minneapolis West and thought it was a solid 3.5 star hotel. However, there was no refrigerator in the room and we were sur charged $10 for our stay. While this is not a lot of money, it is an annoyance. In addition, there is a charge for using the internet in the room, although it is free in the lobby.

“Okay for the price”

The hotel is nice for the price we paid, but needs some renovations. In addition, the tv didn't work and kept scrambling, which was disappointing. We have stayed here before and the last room was nicer. Not sure if we will stay again...

“Nice hotel to stay”

We really enjoyed the quality of this hotel. The bed was great, there was a nice bathroom that was clean, and the breakfast buffet (available for purchase) was great. We did have to pay $10 extra to get a mini-fridge put in our room so we could have milk right away in the morning for our one year old.

“A mixed bag”

When we got there, the two desk clerks were busy with other guests, but still could have looked at my party and acknowledged our presence. The room was freezing and we couldn't get it warmed up. The pool was really nice and warm, though! We did have a large red stain on our carpet (kool aid red, not something creepy!) and when we notified the front desk of it when we got in the room, they were very nice.

Area recommendations

Be sure to check out Minnehaha Falls. It's a very nice slice of nature in the middle of the city.

“Satisfied,..although”

make sure you are aware that using wifi on the lobby using your laptap will have charges,except ofcourse you use there public computers then that is free,mosquitos noted on the lobby and dining area,otherwise,gd buffet (breakfast ).close to mall,could be walking distance.

“Summer Vacation”

The trip was very rewarding both travel, stay and activities. Many family activities to keep you entertained.

Area recommendations

Downtown Minneapolis. The Riverview is beautiful and the Science Museum is a fun place for children.

Shopping

Mall of Americas is the place to shop. TOOOOO Many stores. You will go broke shopping.

Dining

Dave's Barbecue and Ruby Tuesday were outstanding. Food was very good.

Family-friendly activities

Must go to Mall of Americas. Amusement Park inside the covered Mall. Makes for year round fun. The Aquarium in the Mall of Americas was fun.

Outdoors or beach

Must visit the Minneapolis Zoo.

“Enjoyed our stay...”

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Price was good and felt the room was a good value for our stay. We will return.

Area recommendations

Wayzata is a beautiful little town only about 5-10 minute drive from this hotel. Liked that the hotel was across from a mall.
