Newly renovated guestrooms at the Grand Hotel Minneapolis feature Sealy Posturepedic pillowtop mattresses, 300-thread-count Egyptian-cotton linens, and down duvets. iHome clock radios are bedside.

“expected more for 5 star”

expected a good soaker bathtub, disappointed, just a walk-in shower

Thank you for taking the time to post feedback about your stay. It sounds like you were booked into our Deluxe room type. Not all the rooms in this category have a soaking tub. However, we can make every effort to accommodate a request for this feature, just let us know. To guarantee the soaking tub, our upgraded room types are the best option, as they have the tub in every room. I hope you will consider returning to try the tubs, they are fantastic! “No in room coffee”

I expect in room coffee and the newspaper requested at my door each morning. Didn't happen. Went to press my dress shirt, iron was soiled with plastic gunk. Folks, you have yo check the details

“Great style and value downtown”

Very nice hotel. The best part by far was the responsiveness and courtesy displayed by every member of the staff. Never a delay in their response and Keats concerned with furs happiness .

Area recommendations

Hells Kitchen for a bite, Niccolet Mall for shopping (take advantage of the skyway), and Prphibition at the top of the Foshay tower for a drink.

“Great downtown hotel.”

Beautiful, elegant hotel located 2 blocks off Nicollette Mall. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a large comfortable room in a great hotel that offers superior service.

“I usually stay here when in Minneapolis”

The best part of this hotel, by far, is the gym, complete with pool. It is a real gym and run by a fitness company. This shouldn't be too surprising, as the facility used to be the Minneapolis Athletic Club before being converted into a hotel. The rooms and the rest of the hotel are nothing special, but the gym and the service make it stand out.

“Great Place”

The staff is AMAZING!!!! i cannot help but speak to the excellence this hotel has to offer. I enjoyed my stay and was very pleased with all aspects of it. i would reccomend to a anyone looking for a great location in down town Minneapolis.

“Fabulous hotel and bar! Food was great, too.”

I loved this hotel! I loved the bartender (Troy) and the smoked trout appetizer. The people were fabulous. Loved the wine tasting each night. Loved the convenience to the Convention Center. Loved Minneapolis, and will stay here again if I get back there soon! The beds were really comfy, as were the pillows, which is not always the case in hotels.

loved the downtown/Nicolett Mall area. Beautiful, clean, accessible city!

Getting around

Excellent public transportation. Can easily walk the whole downtown area.

Must see

The Walker Art Center. Wanted to go to the Weisman Art Museum, but it was game day so stayed away.

Everything in the hotel was great but the room was "very dark" so dark that you couldn't read the newspaper.
