“a thanksgiving stay”
our stay was over the thankgiving weekend and was for four nights. the hotel staff were wonderful. they we most helpful and friendly, really made you feel good about staying at this location. a major let down at the hotel was the quality of food. honestly i could rate at average at best. across the street is a independant resturant, the fireside that made up for this as the food there was very good. if we were to stay in the minneapolis area again this hotel would be on our list. the fly and stay package from expedia was very good.
“Best Bed Ever!!!”
We went to visit family for the holidays and checked in on Thanksgiving Day. The staff was friendly and very accomodating. We received an awesome room, corner suite, with kind bed on 21st floor. Wall to wall windows and awesome views of the city and beyond! The bed and pillows were so comfortable, and the room had every ammenity we needed. The location was very convenient to access shopping and restaurants. The Hollydazzle parade was just outside the front doors and down the block! The night club was a bit loud late at night, but we simply closed the curtains and the noise was gone. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip to Minneapolis!
“Positive first experience in Minneapolis”
A very positive experience
“Great location, right in downtown.”
The location is excellent. Right around the corner from Nicollet Mall. Two blocks from light rail. For $1.75 you can catch a train to the Airport or Mall of America. It takes about 35 minutes to the airport. The hotel is just around the corner from the Warehouse restaurant and bar district. I stepped outside the hotel, turned right for one block and went to the Depot Tavern which is adjacent to First Avenue Club. Sports bars, pizza, pubs all around the hotel. There is a liquor store right across the street. If you don't need a car, don't rent one. Light rail is good, dependable and punctual. Besides, parking is approx. $14.00 per day. You need two elevators to get to your room. The first elevator takes you up from street level to the 5th floor lobby. The second elevator takes you to your room. Great views from the higher rooms. I was on the 21st floor.
“would definetly go back !!!!”
Great place and great price on expedia
“connect to a shopping paradise and stay warm”
staff was very friendly and helpful, hotel is modern; liked cozy lobby with free wifi; only complaint: room cleaning happened only late in day
“Good Hotel”
I thought the hotel in Minneapolis was fine. The rooms left a little to be desired from a nice hotel but the lobby was very nice and the concierge was very helpful. The view is great. We had a great view of the new Target Stadium where the Twins play.
“Delighted”
This hotel was very nice and in the hear of downtown. The rooms were very nice, clean, roomy and comfortable. The staff was very professional and so helpful. It was close to the train station which we rode to and from the airport ;and to Mall of America. Shopping, entertainment and resaturants were easily accessible to this hotel. I was very pleased with the quality of the hotel for the price and would recommend this hotel if youy desire to stay downtown.
“Great centrally located hotel. Close to great restaurants and shopping!”
I chose this hotel because it was downtown and close to the pickup spot for the Twin Cities 10 mile race. Amazing beds and bedding. So comfortable and a great hot shower with lots of pressure. The front desk help were friendly and helpful with the area. George the bellman is your man at the door!!
“Marriott City View”
Very nice hotel, but not to be confused with the Marriott Minneapolis River View, which seems much more upscale. Everything was great; however when the room felt stuffy in the night, I turn the A/C down to 67. Every 10 minutes there was a loud "bang" as the a/c cycled, which meant I had to turn the a/c back to 69/70. Highly disapointed. Restaurant was not open on Sunday evening, so I ate at the bar. Friendly crowd, but food was overpriced.
