“Great location - heater broken - iffy customer service”
Great location & one friendly bell-hop are the Hyatt's highlights. The lobby was nice & the breakfast buffet was decent Our heater was broken all weekend in Minneapolis winter - room never got above 65. The sheets were stiff & came untucked easily. Our room had not been vaccumed and the coffee machine was broken. Lastly, they told us because we booked online via expedia - we got the hotel's "left over rooms" so we got 2 full sized beds for myself & my football player boyfriend.

“Very chic but comfortable hotel”
We were very happy with hotel staff and the location of the hotel. The room was very nice and clean. Parking in the garage was a bit pricey, but not surprising for the area. The only thing I had a problem with was the "breakfast"/"morning" special that came as part of our room reservation. I searched throughout the Hyatt website for information on this deal, but there was none. You receive a voucher upon check-in for the breakfast buffet in the lobby. However, what isn't clear is that you'll immediately go over that amount by quite a bit more if you do eat there--in other words, the voucher won't cover this. It was very expensive, especially for a pretty simple buffet...AND, the voucher you did get isn't much of a deal...the breakfast addition brought the original price of the room up. We would have much rather gone out for a much better deal/experience for breakfast in the city, but were misled by the "breakfast" promotion.
“Should offer "free" wi-fi.”
Hotel was nice, but they could use new carpeting in their hallways. The carpet in my room had some unidentifiable red staining. I guess crime may be an issue in the area, since there were warnings about how to "stay safe" on the hotel TV channel. Also, it would be nice if they offered free wi-fi.
“Excellent hotel in downtown Minneapolis”
The Hyatt in downtown Minneapolis is a very convenient, comfortable hotel. We had some issues--they were out of rollaway beds, and it took a few phone calls late at night to get it straightened out, but they did accommodate us. The other annoying thing is that they use straight sheets instead of fitted sheets on their mattresses, which means that when you untuck the tight cocoon of top sheet and blankets, you end up untucking the bottom sheet as well, which slips and bunches. So every night we had to untuck the top sheet and retuck the bottom sheet so that it wouldn't get uncomfortable in the night. But other than that, they were great, the hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff was very professional and helpful, and I'll definitely stay there again.
“Comfortable Hotel in Good Location”
Very comfortable hotel in a great location next to Nicollet Mall.
“Very relaxing stay.”
The check-in process was quick and easy. The room was extremely comfortable and quiet. I will definitely stay there again.
“Excellant Hotel”
I had a great stay at the hotel here. Rooms were in excellant shape, service was great, and the location was great too Besides eating at the Hotel your in walking distance of many other restaurants as well as stores.
“Ideal hotel for a Minneapolis visit”
We were in town for only a day and needed someplace conveniently located, so we grabbed the Hyatt Regency. It was a perfect stay. Top-notch staff, clean room, and, most of all, quiet. We sort of anticipated problems when we arrived. First we saw a dozen identically dressed and perfectly coiffed women in the lobby. Then we started noticing all these guys in sharkskin suits. They too were perfectly coiffed. It was a wedding party. And there also seemed to be a large number of bimbo-esque young women roving the property. We figured some sort of class reunion or party was also scheduled. So we expected that familiar 2 a.m. Sunday hotel wakeup call -- yelling, banging on doors, drunken louts stumbling into walls, crashing of dishes, etc. But we didn't hear a thing. This place is either incredibly sound-proofed, or these were the best behaved guests ever. (We later learned that the hotel was hosting two weddings and three bachelorette parties. ... nicely done.) Anyway, it was a great, restful stay. Highly recommended. And don't forget a stop at Al's Breakfast in Dinkytown, the perfect end to a perfect weekend.
