“Wonderful experience”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ivy. The room was peaceful and comfortable ... Especially the bed and linens! The bathroom was great ... Nice and big, great shower and great view of the city from the bathtub! We'll stay there again.

“Sophisticated and Serene”

We were in town for the weekend for a wedding, two kids in tow. We thought it would be a hectic whirlwind, but Ivy staff made it feel like a wonderful little getaway! The children were welcomed generously, our needs were anticipated, requests were met with immediate attention and the space was incredibly relaxing.

“Overpriced”

We have stayed at other hotels in this vicinity that have more spacious rooms, better location, more amenities (coffee machine in room) for a much better price. This hotel did have a nice exercise room/spa, but the hotel room itself was average. The halls were noisy, our safe didn't work, and the only coffee could be bought in the hotel's restaurant.

“Bring $$ for extras”

This is a high end hotel so be prepared to spend money on just about everything you are used to having included in the price of a run of the mill hotel room. NO FREE PARKING. If you want to park your car, the Ivy has a pricey valet service or you can pay (the hotel does not validate parking) to park your car in the municipal garage across the street. Regardless of what Expedia says, THE HOTEL IVY DOES NOT OFFER SHUTTLE SERVICE (very disappointed since one of the factors in my choosing this hotel was shuttle service to Mall of America Field) NO FREE WiFi either, amongst other services that one comes to expect to be included in the price of the room. All in all, the hotel is very nice, clean and quiet but I would not recommend it for a family traveling with children....my kids were the only ones I saw while I was there and the hotel was sold out...I may go back with just my wife but if I do the NFL trip again with the kids, I will probably stay at the Holiday Inn Express right next door so I can relax and save some money....one last thing, if you think you will grab a bite to eat somewhere close by, think again...the hotel is located in a business district and restaurants are several blocks away, so be prepared to go hungry or pay the Ivy's outrageous room service prices....like I had to when the boys were hungry after the game. Bacon Cheeseburger....$15.00 +$2.50 transit fee and 21% gratuity which they take the liberty of adding, up front.

“Great Location to Downtown!”

Great location, great hotel! Room was VERY CLEAN including the bathroom tile - all travertine! Staff was friendly and helpful. Recommend using the valet service!

“Weekend downtown”

Everything about the hotel was just exceptional.We loved the bathroom and the comfy beds. If your staying in the hotel you have got to visit the ivy spa! Staff was friendly for the most part. The only drawback for us was the location. It was a bit further from the bars, clubs, and restaurants than we would have liked, but like i said thats just us. Great for business or just relaxation.

Getting there

When getting off I-35 just follow the downtown exits and follow it to 11th street exit. hotels right there with valet ready to assist you.

Nightlife

The rooftop bar at Seven is incredible. Very friendly and professional staff, and just a good atmosphere. Pedicabs located all throughout downtown are very helpful in getting from the hotel to the bars, especially when your walking in heals

“very impressed”

When checking in we were upgraded to a jr suite, and the host didnt even know my wife and i were celebrating our 10yr anniversary. I never take a bath at a hotels and i always take shower shoes. This hotel i not only took a bath, but didnt use my shower shoes. I love that the tub and shower are seperate. Excellent hotel!!!

Downtown has several places in walking distance to eat, also all of the sports teams arenas (except the wild) are 5 mins away.

“Great ambiance, perfect locaton”

Very applealing decor in lobby and room, comfortable bed, luxurious bath with separate shower and tub, good products. Service was superb, staff very friendly. Location was great - for conventional center, Nicollet Mall, restaurants etc. Would definitely return to this hotel.
