“Comfortable Stay”
Close to restaurants, very comfortable beds, better than average breakfast, friendly staff
“never paid for parking at a hotel but service and room were great”
Not a lot of room to park and it costs but there is a garage next door that was large and offered a competetive price for a downtown location. The staff and room were great. It also had an excellent breakfast bar! At first the pool seemed small but we had plenty of room and fun!
“This one's a keeper!”
We have stayed at this hotel 3 times now while visting our son in Minneapolis. The location and ease of getting to it is great. Parking in the lot is reasonable and fortunately we've been able to get a spot each time we've stayed. Breakfast buffet has been upgraded since our last visit. If I have anything negative to say about the hotel is the pool is small and weekend nights are crowded. Otherwise it's been a great hotel for us and we'll continue to stay there.
“Good downtown option”
I needed a room in downtown Minneapolis on short notice. Because it was during a busy week the options were somewhat limited. While this was a bit further from where I wanted to be I was very satisfied with the faciltiy, condition and staff. I wouldn't hesitate to book it again.
“good value”
Overall, my stay was enjoyable at this location. Very convenient to the Convention Center (2 blocks, about a 3 minute walk). The one thing that annoyed me was that check in was at 3 pm and when I showed up at 4:30pm, I still had to wait until 5pm for the room to be ready.
“ideal for a downtown stay with orchestra hall as the focus.”
everything was great. for the price it was ideal for our two nights focused around a pink martini concert with the minnesota orchestra. even the lobby and cafe options at the nearby (and much more expensive) Hyatt and Ivy Hotels seemed to be part of our H.I.Express stay. and the concert was fantastic.
“Very Nice--Could have been friendlier”
Although most of the desk personnel were very nice, occasionally there was a grumpy one. The location is a long walk from the busy downtown section of Minneapolis, but definitely doable. Breakfast was OK, but the dining area was cramped. I plan to stay there again and recommend it to others.
“Nice Stay”
The hotel was nice, clean, and the price was reasonable. Lots of good restaurants in the vicinity.
“Flawless”
Location, accomodations, cleanliness all great!
“Good Value for the location”
The breakfast was ample - and the mass-produced omelettes weren't bad. Pancake machine was a novelty, but I can't say the result was great. A door to the Skyway is just a quick dash across the street. Disappointed they didn't have any brochures for local sightseeing attractions - just restaurants. They told me to go to the Conference Center! Room well appointed with free wi-fi, plenty of toiletries, and windows that open. Shame there's no safe in the room.
