“Hotel was Best Available but Expedia Services Lacking”

I booked this hotel for a railroad engineering conference in Minneapolis and it was the best available at the time. There were daily problems with the management and operation of the downtown shuttle but I paid extra for taxis and made most of the seminars.

Area recommendations

The location of this hotel is marginally acceptable for conferences downtown. The ride is about 40 minutes in rush hour traffic but hotel shuttles are cancelled at the last minute and scheduled for other destinations making them unavailable for extended blocks of time.

“Great value with a complimentary shuttle”

Nice and clean hotel, good service and a complimentary shuttle to light rail or city center (shuttle gets to the Convention Center in 20 mins). Restaurant with adequate food quality. No problems with my stay. Overall, great alternative to staying close to your venue at twice the price.

“pack a lunch and a fan”

Nice hotel with easy access to the free-way. Reception desk staff was very courteous at check-in but rather inconsiderate at check-out. My room was really warm and I couldn't find a thermostat. The adjacent Italian restaurant, really the only place to eat within walking distance, didn't fair well. I actually had to reject my pizza. Never did that before.

“Great out of downtown hotel”

This hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and breakfast was on time and very good. Its next to the highway so gettting around is easy. If you are looking for an affordable option to downtown hotels this one is good. But, if you are looking for a cute neighborhood to shop in and walk around look elsewhere. The hotel does not have much as far as surroundings. I would stay there again if I was passing through for a quick evening or weekend.

“I would return”

I was very satisfied with my stay(3 nights) the only problem was not being able to figure out how to work the air conditioner.

“Customer Service and Shuttle Service Stinks”

It says free shuttle to and from the convention center. But wait! When you get there, you find out that there is a "waiting list" for the shuttle. Better yet, there is no communication between the front desk and the poor driver, so he doesn't know what is going on. There were several instances that the front desk was not helpful at all. We ended up taking a private car service and having to pay for it. Not exactly in the budget! If all you care about is a clean room, this is the place. The room was wonderful.

“Too warm”

Everything was excellent except for the temp of the room. A staff person checked it but it never got cool. they did bring a fan, They offered to change our room but it was late and we were very tired. I am disabled and have asthma.

“Pleasantly Surprised”

Rooms were clean and well-maintained. Recently updated decor. I was very pleasantly surprised at the location...close to the U of M. They could have done a better job of keeping fresh coffee in the morning.

Roseville area. Very centrally located to the northern Minneapolis and St. Paul area.
