“2-night stay”

At the discounted rate I got the room for, it was a great value. The location is right across the street from the airport and there are many dining options nearby. Denny's is next door for your breakfast. It is a short drive to downtown. Excellent staff gave us a great recommendation (Betty Brinn Children's Museum; perfect for ages 2-8) for an afternoon of fun for our son (age 3 1/2).

Area recommendations

I've stayed at 12-15 hotels in Milwaukee over the years. For short stays, I much prefer the hotels near the airport. We left this hotel at 7:30am for a 9:40am flight back to LA. We returned the rental car, checked bags and car seats, got through security, and were at our gate at 8:20am. The free parking at most airport hotels also makes them a plus over many of the downtown hotels. From this location, it is very fast and easy to reach all downtown and lakefront activities.

Family-friendly activities

The Milwaukee Public Museum is great for all ages, the Betty Brinn Children's Museum is absolutely perfect for ages 2-8 (with all other ages still enjoying it; including parents....it's also baby-friendly), and Discovery World (adjacent to Betty Brinn) is great for the older kids and parents.

“Fine hotel”

Nice place, near airport. Several restaurant choices nearby, from McD's & Denney's to the Packing House (Nice steak & seafood dinner place).

“Rooms are too warm and can't control the thermostat”

Bathroom in my room in dier need of upgrade. Same hair in corners of my bathroom for the four nights I stayed

“Pleasant”

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Needs some work on the wallpaper...and sink had large crack in it....but othewise the beds were comfortable, location good....staff was great.

“Not Bad”

Room was nice enough and clean with a comfortable bed. View from the window was less than desirable. Mistakenly booked a room here for three nights assuming there would be a hot tub in the pool area (which was old and felt as though it was in a dungeon) - ended up not using the pool at all and paid extra to stay at this more pricey hotel for nothing. Stopped in the hotel pub for a cocktail, was served a drink and ignored at the bar until my drink was gone. I was the only customer there and the bartender basically disappeared while I drank alone. Next time I book a hotel I will do my homework before I make a reservation.

“Will return again.........”

Staff was wonderful..friendly, helpful. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean; not pretentious. It was obviously an older room....but it was kept well.

“Nice place”

We enjoyed our stay in Milwaukee. The hotel is old but our room was very nice. The only problem was the bar had at least 10 people in it at 11:30 pm and they wanted to close early. When I booked the room I was told the bar would stay open if it had customers. (That made a differance on where we would stay). The group next to us wanted to talk to the manager...after the discussion....(which it was) the bar stayed open.

Area recommendations

Right across from the airport and it does have a shuttle.

“Very impressed for the money. I would HIGLY recommend this hotel.”

Felt very comfortable. Staff was very pleasant and helpful with directions and recommendations. We stayed at three different hotels on this short trip in three different cites. This was by far the best.

“Fantastic value”

For the price, this is a great value. Wonderful hotel staff, clean room, tasty $6 breakfast with tons of fresh fruit.
