“good value/clean hotel”

We initially picked this hotel rather than at the convention hotel because of the price. We are glad we did. It was so much nicer, cleaner, and quieter than the convention hotel AND for much less.

“Pleasantly suprised!”

We were pleasantly suprised that this hotel had just undergone a renovation. It is located in the historic downtown Gimbels building. Our room had been newly remodeled and had a spectacular view from our room on the top / 8th floor. Even the typical "continental" breakfast was better than what we would expect. Staff was pleasant, helpful and exceptionally neatly groomed. We were within easy walking distance to the Bradley Center. Since this hotel was predominantly geared to the Monday thru Friday business traveler, it was almost empty on the weekend, even with the Auto show and a big concert in town. This made it a great choice for a weekend getaway. And it was comparatively affordable. The only drawback was that the parking was somewhat limited and cramped, but again due to the fairly low traffic on the weekend, we had no trouble getting a space. We plan on staying there again for our next trip. Their only challenge will be keeping up the new upgraded facility and staff over the long term. Fortunately, we were non smokers since the entire facility is smoke free with severe fine for smoking in the rooms. This is something that should be specified in the hotel description to avoid confusion.

“Happy in Milwaukee!”

This hotel sits right on the river and is walkable to all the lakefront activities. There is nightlife down river that again is an easy walk. I would stay here again.

“great location Millwuakee best”

Great room contected to a shopping area and a great Irish Pub across the street. It was below zero temps that weekend and the parking garage was heated. Everybody from mantinece to the front desk was great. Good breakfast on the weekends and the front desk also told us where to order pizza late at night. that was fantastic.

“Happily Surprised”

This is a conversion of the Gimble's (later Marshall Field's) department store, right on the Milwaukee River. It is a great use in a great location.

“Wonderful hotel”

I was very impressed with everything about this hotel. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. There were about 8 pillows on the bed and a comfortable mattress. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, a very nice breakfast buffet in the morning with staff who regularly came around and cleared plates. Great location in downtown Milwaukee.

“Great hotel”

This was one of nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. It was new, having been converted from an old Marshall Field store. My room had 15 ft ceilings, one side of it was one big window with a river view. They had a complimentary full breakfast each morning and dinner complete with wine.

“Great place to stay”

Very spacious room with super high ceilings and floor to ceiling window view of the river. Lots of room to spread out, with a very comfortable bed. The kitchen makes this a great place to stay with kids. I was very happy with our location...near numerous restaruantsand the River Walk, and within walking distance to Milwaukee Public Museum, Library, etc. We walked everywhere once checking in, but traffic was minimal, so driving wouldn't have been a problem. I'll stay there again if I'm ever in Milwaukee.
