Excellent hotel with historic charm. We stayed in the spa room, which featured a wonderful soaker tub in the middle of the room. The room was also extremely spacious, even with getting a smaller sized one. The staff was extremely helpful and the attached restaurant was very tasty.

At the low rate per night during the holidays this place was a bargain, I assumed the usual low quality, strange shape of rooms, unclean, like a lower priced room in say Chicago, LA, or SF. Place was sparkling clean, super friendly staff (probably because the Midwest and more specifically Wisconsin people are awesome!), brand new, well laid out rooms. The location was super convenient for all things downtown. Hotel hits up you for $25/night valet parking but $5/night parking can easily be found within a block of the front door. Room wasn't huge but like I said, perfect layout for the space and the amount of room expected for the super low rate. I will definitely recommend this place and stay here again. Try the Milwaukee Mule at the bar, its super tasty too.

Two night business stay. Nice to have two bedrooms for privacy. Enjoyed staying in a non chaing hotel. Good eateries within walking distance. A little noisy being right on the street but would stay here again.

Third time staying there, first time on the train side. If you are a light sleeper, be sure to ask for non train track facing windows. Otherwise this is the perfect hotel to stay in when you want to be to downtown in a hotel with a lively night scene.
We live in Milwaukee area but were having a parent's get-away weekend, this hotel fit the bill perfectly!
The hotel was modern and clean, the lobby was comfortable and inviting, and the staff was exceptionally helpful (ask for Juan, the man knows his stuff). I'm planning another trip in the spring and will definitely stay there again.
