Room for improvements for sure!!

Posted 26-Jan-2015
Pros: Friendly & serviceminded staff & the location.
Cons: English lessons for all staff. Create a checklist in English of most used common phrases for SPA staff!!! A bigger breakfast selection.
Location: Good location, 10min walk to the Duomo & shopping centre.
We asked for a peaceful room. Our room was facing the street, you can hear police sirens 24/7 and even your neighbours sneezing AND talking (Chinese in our case)!! Very lovely to wake up to a Tango video call from the room next door @8am on a Saturday, SERIOUSLYYYY!!!!! The rooms on 5th floor felt damp as well. And when the tube passes by the whole building is shaking particularly when your sleeping towards the main street! The English staff speaks are very poor, 2 out of 4 reception staff English was good I spoke to. NON existent particularly in the SPA area. As a result the hotel are loosing customers & revenue. SPA staff didnt understand when I asked for a key to store my clothes in.. When I asked for a towel I got a bathrobe.. We like the SPA, but we would LOVE it if the staff English skills improves and if there would been a real jacuzzi, that will for sure attract more returning guests too!

Rooms are not comfortable. Bathroom is very small.

In the room bathroom is very bad. Its too much small. And air condition is not enough to heat. In addition to this, breakfast is weak. Such as cheeses and other things. Thanks.

Dear Guest, thank you very much for taking time to write a review on Expedia related to your last stay at WorldHotel Cristoforo Colombo . We are sorry to read that our hotel didn’t meet your expectations and that the room were not to your liking. We are pleased to inform you that our hotel has bigger rooms too which are more spacious. We are sorry to read that you found the Breakfast Buffet somewhat “weak”; as you noticed during your stay we offer a different choice of Savoury and Sweet dishes such as Scrambled Eggs and Bacon, our chef prepares, every day, 2 different type of cakes and we also offer our “Gluten Free Corner” for those who prefer a healthier breakfast. Looking forward to welcoming you soon at our property in order to show all the improvements, we send you our best regards. Frank Camilleri General Manager

schön zentrales Hotel.

Posted 31-Dec-2014

Great location, nice room and good service

Posted 13-Nov-2014
Pros: Location and clean spacious room.
Cons: It's good that they offer free SPA but not everyone bring swimsuits with them. So rental service could be appreciated.
Location: Corso Venezia, Duomo
Milan was my last destination of my Croatia and Italy trip with my mother. We were both exhausted from our long journey and It was past 9 PM when we reached. As soon as we reached the reception, this gentleman welcomed us by mentioning our name even before we handed our IDs. It was a perfect first impression. He checked us in smoothly and explained well about the hotel. He also mentioned there's 2 hrs free SPA that all guests can use during our stay. We were given a superior room on the top floor. The room is spacious enough for our big luggagge and two perfect beds. The room was facing towards Corso Venezia, the famouse fashion street of Milan. The bathroom was also spacious and the amenity was good, too. There was no bathtub, though. It would've been perfect if there was one. However, the shower had good water pressure so it was good enough. The location is also perfect. It's just a few steps to Porta Venezia metro station, which is just 3 stops from Duomo station. You can easily take a walk to Duomo in 15-20 min or so. There are many cafes and restaurants, and most importantly closthes shops around the hotel, so you will not get bored. We wanted to use this 2 hr free SPA that they offer, so we went down to SPA, but found out that we needed to bring our own swimsuits. Traveling Italy and Croatia in Novermber, we didn't think about bringing our swimsuits. We could not use SPA service and were a bit dissapointed. But overall we were pretty happy with the hotel.

Uncomfortable nights sleep

Posted 06-Nov-2014
Pros: The bar was well stocked and the staff were friendly
Cons: The basic rooms were more fitting for a room at a third of the cost
Location: There is an amazing italian restraunt about 3 mins walk away
I was looking for a good hotel which was comforatble and thought that this one looked OK, the reception area was really nice. Sadley the bed was really old, the toilet leaked, the room was really hot and smelt damp. The only option was to open the window which was straight out onto a main street which was really noisy. To top this every time a subway train went by the room moved!
