“Broken Air Conditioner, Rude Management”

Not the best experience, but the location was great because it is right next to the train station.

“Decent Experience”

Pluses: - Proximity to Corso Buenos Aires - Tram stops nearby. Metro stop is less than 5 minute walk. - Affordable rates Negatives: - The walls are paper thin, as mentioned in earlier reviews. - The neighborhood is quiet, which is both good and bad. I can sleep well at night, but I don't know how safe I would feel to walk back to the hotel at night either.

Area recommendations
I imagine it would be much more expensive, but Duomo area would be my first choice the next time I visit Milan.

“Convinient Location, Paper-Thin Walls, Small Room and Bathroom”

Even though we requested a non-smoking room, our first room was smelling like somebody just smoked 10 packs of cigarette. When I went to the reception to repeat my non-smoking room request he arrogantly show me the "no smoking" sign behind the reception desk stating that "this is a non-smoking hotel". I invited him upstair to smell it personally then he decided to change our room. Our room was by the stairs as a result we could hear everybody passing by. During our 3-night-stay we could not sleep because of our neighbors' yelling, screaming and reception clerk's numerous interruption to their rooms. Other than that, our room was facing the street; therefore, once the neighbors stop making noise, we couldn't sleep because of the noise of the trash collecting trucks. Our room was small and in the bathroom there was no space to even put our shampoo while showering. I can describe this hotel as a VALUE HOTEL-you get what you pay for.

“our first visit to Milan”

The Roxy is so convenient when visiting Milan. The hotel was very clean and the was professional and pleasant. They helped in so many ways, directions, transportation, dining, etc. The room was large and comfortable, the bathroom was small but that was expected. The morning breakfast was great.

“great budget hotel”

This hotel is very convenient to transportation connections, was clean, well appointed and had a very helpful staff. We had to check out early before the breakfast buffet began, the gentleman at the front desk made sure we had espressos and croissants before leaving the hotel. Grocery store right around the corner as well as nearby restaurants and cafes. A reasonable walk to the city center. The room is small, but hey this is Europe. I've stayed in much smaller.

“Basic but brilliant hotel in heart of Milan”

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Roxy hotel. Having booked for the location I was concerned that the low price would mean low quality. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodation and would definitely recommend it. Really friendly staff and pleasant surroundings made up for the basic facilities, and the buffet breakfast kept us going all day! Within easy walking distance of the major sights of Milan, I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the entire hotel.

“Very good value for money”

Stayed for a couple of nights and the hotel was just the ticket. Bathroom was a bit small but adequate and everything else worked as it should do. Convenient for the metro and Milan central station and also shops and restaurants near by. For the price I would say that this hotel is very good value for money.

“Bed bug city”

Very convenient location. Very fair price and it looks clean. The beds need a overhaul. I bed mates were bugs of varies kinds. The sheets were tucked in firmly and in between the mattresses, I found bugs of different sizes.

“Very friendly staff and atmosphere close to Milan centre”

The hotel was close enough to walk into Milan centre but far enough away to be relatively quiet. The staff were extremely pleasant, accommodating and took the time to get to know their customers.

“Avoid at all cost”

I arrived at this hotel and appalled with everything from moment of arrival. Hotel smelt damp and musty, reception staff indifferent and rude. The room was awful - room smelt bad and beds looked uncomfortable. The room overlooked a street with trams and noisy atmosphere. We left the hotel immediately and found another hotel more centrally located and much more comfortable. This reminded me of a hostel and was not a 3 star hotel. Go for nothing short of a 4 star minimum. This had to rate as the worst hotel I have the misfortune to ever book. It has to be avoided at all costs, better to pay for something more in keeping with the wonderful city of Milan.
