Don't judge the book by the cover

Posted 21-Oct-2014
Pros: location staff layout
Location: handy for the metro, beside the very very popular eating/bar area of grande navigli, walkable to the Duomo
The via mortara looks a bit off putting on first arrival but in fact it is just the eclectic nature of the wall murals that the businesses on the street - boxing gym, cabaret bar. The receptionist/concierge for our stay was Willy and I don't think I have come across a more helpful member of staff on any other trip. My wife had a birthday during our stay and Willy, seeing the cards which she had opened, left a happy birthday message with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco. Milan was great and the "buzzing" area of navigli is 5 mins walk away

Pros: The staff was so helpful to us.
Location: Close to the Duomo and the canal in Milan with lots of restaurants, wine bars and gelaterias.
Close to the Duomo and the canal in Milan with all the restaurants and nightlife. The ability to make espresso in your own bedroom is a big plus.

Fijne plek voor kort verblijf

Posted 07-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com

Nice hotel, close to everything and amazing staff

Posted 22-Jun-2014
Pros: It was a nice set up with REAL air condition (some places in Italy say it's air condition but not really, this is really is).
Cons: The wifi was not very good. My two boys were very disappointed. It's sad to say that I actually received faster downloads when I left the hotel.
Location: It is walking distance to EVERYTHING! Shopping is everywhere. The Duomo is about a 20 minute walk (at least). The castle is about 30-35 minutes.
We liked this hotel but we loved the staff. Luigi greeted us upon arrival and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He explained how to get to everything and asked if we needed anything. Willie, the other owner, was around a bit more and super responsive to our needs. As a family of four it was wonderful. The hotel is literally in walking distance to everything a tourist would want to see, which is great. No taxi needed. If you decide you want to rest your feet, it is very easy to navigate the public transportation system.
