OK business hotel close to transportation

Posted 14-Apr-2015
Pros: Location. Safe and fridge in room. Friendly staff. Food in restaurant (breakfast and dinner). Non-smoking hotel.
Cons: Provide a Hotel information guide in room
Location: Close to metro, tram and park. Restaurant Bianco Latte (via Turati) for either lunch, dinner or gelato. Da Cecco (Via Solferino 34) for dinner
For a European city hotel the room was still very small. Featuring a double bed, room was so small there was only room to walk around the bed, barely enough floor space to open up a medium size suitcase. However, interior was modern and in a good shape. The safe in the room was appreciated so was the minibar used as refrigerator. Bathroom was a fair size with ample places to hang towels. Shower stall was a bit rusty and looking not so nice in the corners, but the fixtures and showerhead was new and functioned well. Water was hot and water pressure was good. Cleaning varied with the cleaning person ranging from perfect to inadequate. Easter Monday the restaurant was apparently taken by surprise by the number of guests staying at the hotel. Personnel scrambled to bus tables and fill the buffet with limited success. The other days were fine. One of the two main elevators was out of order the entire stay of 6 days causing extra elevator wait time. Personnel was very polite, friendly and helpful. Especially the bar and evening restaurant waiter were very attentive and gave very good service. The general appearance of the hotel was average. Nothing impressive but nothing to critize either except wobbly chairs in restaurant. The breakfast restaurant furniture was replaced the day before we left. Could stay here again if going on a short business trip. For a romantic get-away I would choose a different hotel. Good location close to restaurants and transportation.

Close to a metro stop

Location: -
Check-in took a long time. There were only two people behind the desk, and quite a long line of people when I arrived late afternoon. The clerk was polite. The hotel was clean and modern looking. One elevator was out of order so some times there was a line to go up. The room was very clean and everything looked new. The bed was comfortable. It is very near a metro stop, one away from the main train station.

Ottimo hotel in posizione strategica

Ottima colazione, pulizia delle camere, confortevole in tutto. Una sera abbiamo anche cenato e ci hanno servito una cotoletta gustosa ad un prezzo onesto per un 4 stelle.

Very good!

Posted 19-Jan-2015 on Hotels.com
Location is very good and one can reach Republica metro station in less than 5 minutes. Decoration is brand new and modern. Rooms are spacious and very clean; ours had a coffee machine and some complimentary coffee capsules and tea sachets. Wifi works good. Breakfast is amazing with lots of cheese, ham/salumi, bread and fruits. There were 2 bad things in our staying, however, only one is critical in my opinion: there´s no parking! No valet service nor any partner option! You have to go to a private parking 3 blocks away which takes about 10-15 minutes due to traffic. Here comes the second bad experience: by the time we got in front of the hotel we had to stop in a double lane (there was no specific area for guests!) and the front desk employee was only interested in my passport! I told him I was concerned about parking violation and fees, but he kept asking for my passport! I left my passport with my wife and just asked the doorman where to park! Luckly, I did´t see him anymore! I´m quite sure this was a punctual problem because other personnel were more than friendly and gave us good advices about Milano. So if you are arriving in Milano by car, you should take this in consideration if you want to stay in this hotel.

Great hotel near Milan's Central Station

Great hotel near Milan's Central Station. The staff were friendly and service minded and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were perfect, there was pressure in the shower and the beds were comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone and will definitely return.

空港、市内各地へアクセスが良い

Posted 15-Jan-2015
Pros:

Good for an overnight stay, not for longer

Posted 08-Jan-2015
Pros: Price was best I could find in Milan. I chose to book the rate without breakfast and picked up a burger at Central Railway Station for 5 Euro.
Cons: Help with information regarding trattoria etc so that you don't feel so isolated. I don't know how I would cope if I had to be in Milan for a week.
Location: Near piazza Republica. You can cross the road and catch the Metro to everything you want to see. Shopping is in the direction of Duomo.
My first stay at Touring Milano . Good stay for overnight connection for train to Paris, which leaves from Garibaldi station at 8.30 am.very modern and some floors have been updated recently. Stayed in 7045 when I arrived from Florence and in a renovated room,4045 when left for Paris. Both rooms were decorated the same but the 4045 had a very small bathroom and you can barely fit through the door. Staff are helpful and volunteered to phone my hotel in Venice to get instructions on how to get from the railway station. Very caring attitude. My only problem was the isolation of the hotel regarding cafes, restaurants etc. to get a quick bite to eat.no help given by staff in finding other places to eat so I presume they expect you to eat in their restaurant. Menu is ok price wise but not much to select a meal. This hotel is much better than Westin Palace or Principe Di Savoia without all the glitz. If you are paying for the hotel pick Touring. If your company is paying then pick WestinPalace across the road. Taxi fare from Central Railway Station is about 5/6 euro.be careful of taxi drivers who charge extra for a bag. I had one who was going to charge11 euro until I said I would check with hotel staff.
