Great location to in Milan

Posted 14-Sep-2014
Pros: Rooms were very comfortable, maybe my best bed in italy, and the location was very convienant.
Cons: Friendliness of the staff could be improved.
Location: All highlights of Milan nearby.
Arrived in Milan and was able to walk to hotel in 5 minutes from the central train station, very convienant. Hotel staff was professional, not exceptionally friendly. One of my rooms was ready and they let us check in early, very nice. The room was very clean and comfortable, reminded me of a USA hotel. Free minibar was nice touch though one room was loaded with several sodas water and orange juice and the other only had water. I contacted staff several times and it seemed as if I was bothering them. On one occasion I asked at the bar for four wine glasses to drink a bottle of wine I purchased in Tuscany. I was advised that for safety they could not let me have glass to walk around with, but glasses could be delivered to my room for 8 euros. Then I called to ask about using telephone in room and was advised they did not know how much I would be charged but I would be. After 5 minutes of being advised there was no way to tell how much calling a 800 hundred number would be I gave up. The staff at the front desk just always seemed annoyed with questions. All my other travels in Italy the staff was always friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel close to the Central station.

Posted 06-Sep-2014
Milan is a nice city with many areas accessible in walking distance and by public transport. However, you must be very cautious at the central train station as there are a lot of pickpockets which I had the nasty experience of having to deal with. The hotel breakfast is very nice though the receptionists could be a little friendlier.

Nice hotel

Posted 03-Sep-2014
Pros: In my reservation I requested a quiet room and I got my first room among couples with small children and babies.
Cons: Read the reservation request and if it is possible granted.
Breakfast excellent and the hotel was located between walking distance to the main attractions. We had one problem the first day because our room was located in the middle of two families with several children. The noise level was very high for my husband and me. We complained to staff and we were moved to a different floor. The room was clean, big and perfect for our needs.

Excellent hotel, good location

The Hotel Michelangelo is an excellent hotel and a very good location, one block from the Central Train Station - trains are the best way to get around the region (day trips are possible as far away as Florence) - airport buses also leave from the Station. The excellent Milan subway is only a block away as well

Great hotel for the price

Posted 28-Aug-2014
Pros: The location, quality and size of the room, and the staff.
Cons: Nothing to suggest.
Location: Great location, 10€ cab ride to city Centre.
This was our first time in Milan and it was great to see the hotel so close to the train station. The staff were helpful and suggested shopping areas and restaurants for us and their advice was good and appreciated. Breakfast was included and was very nice, lots of selection. The room was quite large Nd at check out there were no surprises, we were made aware of any and all charges.

Excellent hotel

Very nice hotel. Spacious and clean rooms. Nice decor, comfortable beds. The breakfast was excellent, with great variaty of cold and warm options. The location was excellent for sightseeing Milano for 3 days and taking the train to Venice after. Hotel is very easy to find from Milano Centrale 2 min walk. If you are in Milan you must see the Last Supper.
