Terrible hotel, awful staff!

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Worst hotel staff, worst location (near train and trails, and you won't sleep at all). We tried to change the room, because it was dirty, they offer us a worst option ever!!!

Hotel under construction

Posted 09-Aug-2014
The staff was very friendly and helpful, although the room was cleaned very late each day. There is construction going on in the inside courtyard of the hotel, so there was a bit of noise. The only complaint was the tiny size of the bathroom and the fact that it had only a hand-held shower. Good location, close to the Duomo and shopping.

Neat hotel in a good Duoma neighborhood area.

Posted 12-Jul-2014
Pros: Excellent breakfast buffet which is complimentary of the rooms and all serving food are fresh and healthy. Very easy walk to Duoma and shopping area.
Cons: WIFI!!! After we checked in the hotel's wifi was working just fine but next three days it went down. Need expert to repair the network system.
Location: Duoma, museums, Galleria, theatre and shopping zones. Love it!
Excellent large room for 4 members, including two kids and two adults. Comfortable in beds. Good view of the Alps. Large bathroom with two sinks and walk-in closet are excellent to use. A hospitable front desk service is very helpful. Both maid services and restaurant services are very friendly with hospitable too.

Four Thumbs Up!

Posted 07-Jul-2014
Cons: The hotel is a bit pricey ($310/room tourist tax), but I think this is typical of well-situated and nicer hotels in the larger European cities.
My wife, her sister and brother-in-law and I stayed here one night in early July, 2014. It is well situated near the Duomo and other attractions, though we only got to the Duomo and surrounding area due to limited time. The hotel was clean, comfortable, well kept; beds, linens, and pillows were all excellent. The staff, who all spoke excellent English and graciously tolerated my poor Italian, were very helpful and pleasant, not to mention stylish and attractive. The only negative, which actually worked out well in the end, was that our party of four couldn't eat dinner in the hotel that evening, which had been our intent. A large (apparently pre-arranged) party precluded seating us at a reasonable hour (e.g., prior to 10 pm). So, the gent at the front desk suggested we try a restaurant located straight out the front door and visible down a narrow street from the hotel. That turned into a wonderful meal, even though the place was heavily "tagged" on the outside and had almost no "clienti" when we arrived. The next morning, the staff arranged for us a large MB four-door to Malpensa Airport for our return to California, and I would heartily recommend this approach. It cost 90 euros (which we split) and was problem-free for us. A great way to wrap up a wonderful trip. We all give high marks to the Hotel Cavalieri in Milano, IT.

Staff was fantastic

Posted 02-Jul-2014
Pros: Location and Staff
Location: The food, the piazza, everything was close by!
First time in Milan and we had an amazing time. Location was fantastic and the staff were all very helpful. Especially the lady who was working the weekend we stayed.
