We stayed in the Hotel Capitol for 2 nights in June. The hotel itself was very beautifully presented and the room was clean and comfortable. This hotel is very easy to get to the city centre. It’s close to the tube and tram and bus stations.

A small but very friendly hotel with a warm welcome. Comfortable rooms and a happy hpur with a free glass of prosseco every night. For a lone business traveler staying 3 or 4 nights it has all I need.

Above average hotel with a very friendly, attentive, and eager to please staff. Single room was a little small but certainly adequate. Breakfast buffet was the best that I had during my one week stay in Italy/switzerland. Location was just off of an upscale street not too far from the "Last Supper" (3/4 mi.) and probably 1 1/2 mi. frrom Il Duomo/La Scala. Although I walked everywhere, public transportation was nearby.

“Wonderful Hotel in Milano”

We had a blast in Milan and this hotel was a big part of it, it is wonderfully located and the staff was extremely helpful. on our departure to Venice our rental car would not start due to a dead battery, three of the staff got me cables and a jump, saw me safely to the street all before Hertz could even get off the phone.

“A good place for a comfortable holiday”

The hotel was quiet and extremely comfortable. Our room was spacious and very quiet (an excellent thing in a busy city!), with high-quality furnishings and fittings. Breakfast was very good indeed and made an excellent start to the day, and the one evening meal we had in the hotel was pleasant, though not cheap (but there is a very nice simple restaurant, Panino Giusto, just round the corner, with a good menu, plenty of choice and nice food at a very low price). The location of the hotel is fine, ten minutes from the historic centre by No. 16 tram. In all, this was a good place to stay and helped to make our holiday a very pleasant one.

“Better than anticipated”

I booked 2 rooms for 3 people in order to see the Take That concert at San Siro stadium in July 2011. I booked 6 weeks before the event so was not as close to the stadium as we would have liked (about a 40 min walk), but we were extremely pleased with the hotel, facilities and location. Firstly, the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Metro, even with suitcases. The Metro line takes you a few stops to the San Siro stadium going one way (Lotto), or to the Duomo and central Milan the other way. It wouldn't be far to walk but as we had luggage we took the Metro. The staff were very helpful, and although one of the rooms was not ready they were most apologetic and said it would only be about 30 mins wait. Since we arrived at 1pm I was pleased that we could access even one room. We had a suberb recommendation for lunch at a local restaurant, and found that there was really good shopping nearby - some boutiques, chains - which was also a bonus. The hotel lobby was clean and well appointed which gave a good first impression. The room was not huge but was comfortable, clean, tasteful and more than adequate. Bed was lovely! Breakfast the next morning was not the best I've tasted but provided a variety of continental and cooked. Just perfect for our requirements, and included in the price. A few reviews have been less than complimentary about this hotel but perhaps they had higher expectations?! I would certainly stay here again.

“Great hotel, shame about the concierge!”

Beautiful hotel with lovely facilities, everything you could want for a romantic getaway! The deluxe bath was absolutely lovely, although there were only a few channels in English on the TV - not really an issue when you spend a lot of time out and about! The bed was lovely, clean and comfortable. The bedding changed daily, bathroom lovely. The only down side was a rude and arrogant concierge who decided it was beneath him to book a taxi for us.
