“Great hotel, great location”

My husband & I spent three nights here in March 2012. Location is very convenient. Only 5-6 minutes walk from Conciliazione metro station (on M1 metro line). Encountered a bit of difficulty orienting ourselves when we first popped up out of the metro station. After that it was a breeze to come & go from the hotel on our sight seeing trips. Had a very nice room on front face of the hotel. A little bit of noise when trams started running in morning, but really didn’t bother us. Room was good size and well appointed with good heating facilities. First time in our European trip that we encountered a bed with blanket rather than doona. No real problem with that. Slightly annoying that the pillows were rather flat and hard. Standard free offer for internet access was one hour. Quite adequate over two days. No “room tax”. The hotel has lovely garden courtyard. Very pleasant for enjoying a coffee and cigarette. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English as well as Italian. Desk staff provided a recommendation on a restaurant for dinner. Restaurant was very nice. Breakfast included in room rate and was a mix of hot and cold options, with boiled eggs being part of the hot option. Cereals, fruit, pastries, and cold meat and cheeses made up the cold options. Overall a satisfying breakfast for people who take breakfast seriously. Overall we heartily recommend the Ariosto Hotel for a place to stay in Milan.

I will return again & again. Great neighborhood and staff in all areas were the best. Wonderful breakfast and quiet, comfortable rooms. No request was too large oe too small. You will be pleased !!!!

“Great hotel away from the Duomo crowd”

Room was small, but not lacking in amenities. Bed was a twin, which was fine for me, a solo traveler. TV consisted of Italian and European channels, Generally watched the BBC News. Wifi-enabled room was great for my laptop. Bathroom was small, but fine. Cleaning staff attended to the room daily. Loved the morning breakfast included with the room. Mix of hot and cold items to eat. The Milan subway is two blocks away, and I used that daily for getting around. Street car also runs down the street, took that one time as well. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Mu room was small, but I got a great rate. Believe there are larger rooms as well. Would recommend Hotel Ariosto to anyone traveling to Milan.

“Nice and quiet hotel in busy Milan”

This hotel is located in a fairly quiet residential area of Milan. It was a little difficult to find so get a good map and get off at the Conciliazione metro stop. We were impressed that this hotel had a bellhop who helped us take our luggage to our room. Our room was a nice size, we had a triple room and it was fairly large and comfortable and had what seemed like a huge bathroom compared to other hotels we had in Italy (they even included nice little toiletries like a toothbrush/toothpaste kit). The hotel staff was very helpful and recommended a good restaurant down the street and called a cab for us to the airport very early the following morning. It is very close to the Santa Maria delle Grazie church where you can see the Last Supper and is just a few metro stops from Piazza Duomo and Milan's other main attractions. The metro stop is just a five minute walk from the hotel.

Very nice hotel ; staff were friendly, room was comfortable. Not too many resturant choices nearby, but good location for both Metro and Tram service. Easy and cheap to get to from Linate, and only costs 1Euro ; bus from the airport then 2 stops on the Metro. Do not recommend getting a taxi as this cost over 35Euro for the same trip!!

“Very comfortable stay!”

Met at the front door when we arrived by taxi. Tree lined streets leading up to it but then found that a tram runs in front of hotel. A little noisy if your room is on the first floor facing the street Ariosto but if you ask for a higher up floor you will be fine. The rooms are so nicely designed...teak, bamboo, pleasing color palate. The service is great and the reception desk staff polite and helpful. Free internet for one hour. The included breakfast in the morning is superb! It is a 20 minute walk to the Duomo (or longer if you are taking your time window shopping like we did) and the whole experience at this hotel was very pleasant. No stresses at all!

“Definitely recommended but not too close to walk to bars / restaurants”

Very helpful staff in Reception who were able to offer advice on reaching various destinations around the city. Not too close to food drink but can walk to metro in 2mins or even right into centre in less than half an hour. The Last Supper is only 10mins walk away. Neighbourhood felt very safe
