Palazzo delle Stelline is a wonderful choice for any stay in Milan, I would recommend it to anyone who would like to have a pleasant and different experience in that city. First of all, it is reasonably priced; second, its location could not be better, across from the church where Da Vinci painted his well-known masterpiece, The Last Supper, a mural (but please reserve your visit to that church in advance!) and close to main metro stations (including Cadorno, the last stop of Malpensa Express, the train which serves the trip from & to the airport), as well as close to several cafés and bars. From the Palazzo you can walk to all the main attractions & museums, including the Duomo, the Pinacoteca di Brera, etc. Also, almost all rooms face a magnificent central patio, which gives the hotel a special charm, like the one you get in a spiritual retreat. Finally, it is very well maintained & managed, rooms are comfortable, ¡and the breakfasts are superb!
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Pierre. The room was in an excellent condition and very tastefully decorated with a classical old charm. The buffet breakfast was also extraordinary. The only odd thing was that there was no one to help us with our suitcases upon arrival and departure and when we asked the hotel staff they were extra non-chalant! For a five star hotel this was unexpected.
I stayed in a junior suite with my two daughters. It was a perfect location close to shops, art galleries, nice restaurants, and the cathedral. While I had to use the underground daily for work (which was very close) my daughters did not have to use the underground at all as they had plenty to do around the hotel.
Very clean small hotel near central train station in Milan Italy. Small room but hotel is well maintained. Morning breakfast buffet was excellent. From hard boiled eggs, waffles, yogurt fresh fruit, pastries and much much more. Almost everything you can think of for breakfast. Staff very helpful finding restaurants etc.Drawback was very small elevator. Only held two people with one suitcase at a time.
First time in Milan with my wife and two teenage daughters. Once in Milan we got a bus which took us to the main station in Milan (centrale) from the airport. We had no clue on how to get to the hotel. We spoke with a cab driver and he said the hotel was only 4-5 KM form the centrale bus station. The cab cost was about 9 euros and it took no more then 15 minutes to reach hotel. I suggest the yellow metro line which is 1.50 euros per person. Of course we found out once at the hotel which was the best way around town and that was the metro. The metro was fast and easy to access from hotel.
"Beautifully designed hotel with friendly service"
We flew out of Milan on our recent trip, so we just stayed on night at the hotel. I was VERY pleased with the hotel upon check-in. It's a gorgeous property! The downstairs bar area is beautiful and the rooftop bar has amazing views. The room was spacious and even the hallways were visually appealing. I spoke with two people at the front desk for directions/recommendations and both were extremely nice (and patient, as I got my bearings). If I were to come back, I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.
