The hotel is run by the family who own it and they went out of their way to assist as did other staff. The only problem with the hotel is it is not near public transport and is a 40 minute walk to the train. Also the taxis do not operate after 8.00pm or on Sundays.
Other than this it was a good experience and one of the family drove me several times to the station.
Breakfast was plentiful and evening meals were good.
Just like other reviews, great location especially if your visiting neighboring cities or countries. Convenient not too far from the historical area accessible to trains green and yellow and connection to red line is two stops away. Never encountered seven hot food breakfast buffet great for person like me. It is a great hotel overall, probably because it's new unlike old building turn into a hotel.
Nice weather in October mid 70s except for the rain. We were lucky it rain for one day as supposed to three as forecasted. Less crowd in most areas except in the Duomo area. If u hate crowds go early in the AM before 11am.
The reason I chose this hotel was its proximity to the Mediolanum Forum, where I was attending a Vasco Rossi concert. Due to flight delays I arrived at the hotel a half hour before the show, and they were extremely helpful in taking/storing my bags and then pointing me where to go. Besides that, their bar was open after the show even at 1 in the morning and I was even able to get a bite to eat. All of the staff was very friendly and competent.
Hotel staff were extremely helpful with local information. The location, although out of the centre was perfect for our group as we got to explore Milan by foot, tram and train. Local markets were full of treats and people were friendly.
Overall... an enjoyable experience!
This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel and I always choose it because of its good location, large rooms and friendly staff. It is good value for money for Milan.
The only problem is that, at the moment, there are renovations going on and, although there was no work taking place over the weekend, the noise started quite early on the Monday morning. However, when we checked in, the receptionist did say that we could move hotels if we wanted to but we declined.
