"In town for medical appointments."
Convenient location, pleasant decor, extremely comfortable beds. The rooms were small, but this is New York. What set it apart from any hotel in its class--and most above it--was the staff. Every staff member we interacted with went far above the expected (well, hoped for) courtesy and competence. They were so helpful and friendly that they seemed to working to anticipate and fill needs before we could ask. An absolute winner.

Pocket Guide: New York Midtown West Best Western Hotels

Some of NYC’s best-known landmarks are north of 14th and south of 59th—or Midtown Manhattan. Its western half is home to Manhattan's largest venues: the Javits Center and Madison Square Garden. In the Garment District, designers try to stay a cut above fashion's latest trends. Nearby, Hell's Kitchen is hot thanks to Restaurant Row. In one block on West 46th, diners can dash from Bangkok to Brazil.
