Booked this hotel through Expedia and had the best experience. The hotel is beautiful very art deco and you feel like you are in The Great Gatsby. The room was huge, plush and comfortable. Did not want to leave the sumptuous bed, but its great location next to Central Park was key to visit this beautiful area, near the Museums and fantastic restaurants. On 5th Avenue so easy to walk to the shops. The staff were very helpful, always cheerful and happy to accommodate any request.
We took our Grandaughter to NYC for her birthday. Had a wonderful time. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with transportation and dining suggestions. Even surprised my Grandaughter with a balloon and treats for her birthday in the room. Would definitely stay here again.
Normally a Marriot Marquis trip from San Diego for xmass in Times Square is in order... So I changed things up this time and I must admit this hotel was a better stay...
24hr Gym !! and a great staff .... We red-eyed it and got there a 6:15am , prepared to bell check our bags and come back at 3pm to check-in ... Nope !! They hooked us up since they had a room available .... We travel quite often and that's pretty rare !
How many times is your wife running behind come checkout time ?? It happens to me a lot (sorry honey) but instead of being bombarded with calls and knocks at the door.. This staff politely asked if we were checking out... "No rush sir , take your time" we can come get your bags when ready... (considering this is the last Friday before Christmas) ... That's a big plus in my book !!! We'll be back for sure !!!
My wife has always wanted to see the Tree Lighting in New York. So, I found a hotel in close proximity to Rockefeller Center. We only spent one night so we did not see a lot of sights. However the Hotel is beautiful, especially when decorated for Christmas.
Since this was our first stay in New York I wanted a nice hotel that also had nice dinning in or close to the hotel.
The Room - although small (it's New York what do you expect, space is expensive) it met all our needs. The bed was very comfortable, shower pressure was good (rain fall shower head) and never wanted for hot water (I like a hot shower), bathroom was fine nothing to write home about.
Staff - Pretty amazing! Super friendly, ask and you will get an answer or pointed in the right direction.
Food - We ate at the downstairs restaurant. It was a little pricey but wow was the food excellent. We made it at the right time because it was booked from 5pm on. Seems to be a popular spot with people who are not staying at the hotel. So that speaks volumes about the food.

Centrally located, very clean, very pleasant and helpful staff, great snacks available all day, good breakfast and a wonderful espresso machine. Room is small yet comfortable and attractive but then it is NYC why would you be in your room. Great places to eat nearby like Junior's and Patzeria Family and Friends.

I had to write a review because this hotel is just that spectacular! The accommodations are stunning. The Christmas decor was so modern and complimented the swanky feel of the hotel perfectly. Room was very spacious. Concierge was amazing and helped me book the best restaurants and even a hard to get appointment for tea at the Anerican Girl Doll Store. The location is perfect. Highly recommend. I will be staying here again.
