“Relaxed environment in hectic city....”

Really great stay - so much thought has gone into the design and environment of the hotel... However note that 18-20% service charge is automatically added to all bills and service can be average.....

“no apples and long lines but still my favorite Miami hotel”

As a premise, I have to say that the Standard remains my favorite hotel in Miami. Have been there twice in the last month. It's cool, relaxing, beautiful, close enough to Lincoln rd, you can walk there but not in the middle of the revelry. The personnel is well trained and go out of his way to accomodate your needs and desires but they are not enough for the kind of personalized and attentive service they offer. I had to stand in line at the spa and check-in desk more than at the NY post office on tax day. Oh and where are the apples? They always had fresh apples in the lobby. It was a nice welcoming touch.

When to go

go to the Standard in the middle of the week if you can. On sat and sun on top of the hotel guests, you have the members from town and the pool and spa can get really overcrowded.

“Sub standard!”

The hotel room was clean. The locker room and adjoining bathroom were dirty at 10 am! The dining service was horrible, waited 20 minutes to get a menu and had to ask for things at least twice. The spa services were great. However, the women at the spa's front desk talked about clients loud enough for us to hear. Offered water and then didn't bring it. It could be a great place!!!

“Awesome!!!Stayed there about 3 years ago and so well worth every $$$”

The Standard has a great vibe and a great relaxing atmosphere. I will highly recommend the hotel to single couple or if you just want to get away with wife for a great relaxing time. The pool is amazing and the service and food was great. Will definitely go back.

“A Great Place”

amazing, cool, hip, really nice ammenitites: mud soak, spa, bathhouses. Drink & food are VERY VERY over-priced, but thats notmal for miami. Don't eat there for dinner. Lunch is great, but dinner is boring & there are many other great options. Biggest Complaint is there is no real lobby bar, coffee shop, or other place to hang besides the deck restaurant in the back. The lobby area is always closed & the tables are uncomfortable. Also, NEED A COFFEE BAR at the standard-- think The Raleigh for inspiration.... Rooms, great. Place beautiful, cool, & not touristy. ITs def the place to be & if I lived in Miami, I'd be a member! Def would stay there again

“Seen better days”

“far from the noise but a short walk to Lincoln road. Great pool and spa.”

I like going back to the Standard again and again. They have cut some services and perks in time (they no longer have free bikes or music in the infinity pool or access to the beach of an affiliated hotel) but still it is a great, relaxing experience to spend a few days here and their yoga program gets better and better.

Area recommendations

check out the designers district. You'll need a car or a cab ride but night life is picking up there and restaurants are definitely better than what you'd find around Lincoln Rd.

Outdoors or beach

the pool and spa are among the best I've ever seen. Poolside service is excellent but a bit pricey.
