“Love the Ritz on Lincoln!!!”
Excellent overall experience
“Good hotel but expensive”
Limited menu in the sole restaurant open in the evening, otherwise very good hotel
“Memorial Day Weekend Disaster”
Never go to Miami during Memorial Day weekend. The Beach turns into a ghetto and it was by far the worst experience ever.
“Excellent service, genuine and likeable staff, first class but not pretentious.”
I love this place. Friendly, good-looking staff. Really comfortable place but down-to-earth clientel and staff. We feel totally spoiled and looked after at the Ritz. Everything clean and in order. Luxury linens. Couple other hotels on the strip might be a little nicer, but I find the crowd at the Ritz nice to be around. Lots of pretty people in a relaxed, natural way.
“Make sure you get a ocean view or do not go to this hotel”
On arrival, all staff was friendly. The rooms we were given faced the back (no rooms facing the ocean were available), We might have well had no windows at all as we saw from the windows were 2 large air conditioners from an adjacent building. The rooms themselves (we had 2 adjoining) were tight but adequate, Though clean, a half consumed bottle of water greated us when we walked into the rooms. The only think to do at the hotel was to utilize the pool or spa. there was no easy access a local tennis place or golf facility. This place was advertised as kid friendly. It is not. They do have a kids club - mostly for toddlers. The pool was quite nice and the hotel is close to the active areas on collins and lincoln road. .. The food was good though expensive. Cocktails, for instance, cost 18 dollars. By the pool, we were charged an additional 6 dollars for sprinkles when my kid ordered an ice cream,. Wait times for food by the pool were long. In the restaurants, most entrees were over 30 dollars.. Many excellent restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. The gym was quite mediocre. The first day there I used the tread mills. There was approximately 1 foot from the top of my head to the ceiling - very tight feeling. The weights were ok, but the equipment was old. Clearly not equipment one would expect from a Ritz Carlton. I would stay here - if no other high end hotel was available - only without kids, and if I got a room facing the ocean.
“Excellent service”
Worth paying Club prices for quality of food , refreshments and service, excellent location on the beach. Lovely pool.
“Great for that pre-Christmas getaway!”
Wonderful! The few miscues at arrival -the waiting for our room- was an easy issue to deal with when the weather in Miami is 80° and it is 25° back in NY!
“The Ritz Is One of the Best Spots in South Beach for Convenience and Luxury”
Great stay, amazing service....glad to see that the Ritz has not diluted their brand.
“More than what i expected”
The Ritz Carlton was a really good hotel. It was located righ ton the beach, with a pharmacy/grocery store right around the corner. There were shops, restaurants, coffee shops everywhere. Great hotel for the money. If you have a chance to go, you should!
“Cannot wait to stay here again! So Relaxing and comfortable!”
Everything was great from the minute we walked in. The rooms were clean, the beds were extremely comfortable and the service was pleasurable and attentive! The pool got a little crowded but that was the only thing I noticed that was less than satisfactory. Would definitely stay here again.
