“First Time Wonder!!!”

This was our first trip to Miami and we were very happy! The location was wonderful for the beach. The walk to Washington was only a few blocks and we felt comfortable walking to and from in the evenings as well.

“Spend a extra $20 and stay somewhere else.”

Good location but the rooms need to be re-done. The pictures on the website really give the wrong impression.

“Hmm..just a place to lay your head”

This hotel was not the best...it was "reasonable". The air was either too cold or too hot...the bed SQUEAKED loudly. Pillows were flat, and there is nothing more than a couple of sheets for cover. The staff was kind enough to let us check in early only aftering finding out it was 16 of us, however we did not have enough towels. When we requested them that night we were told that we have to request towels between the hours of 9am-3pm...really..someone finally brought some up, in a plastic bag. Bottom line, if you just need a place to stay and/or sleep, stay here. If you are at all looking for a hotel experience, luxury or anything of the sort..KEEP LOOKING..this is not it.

“Great Hotel.”

This place is lovely. It is super clean, quiet and the staff are extremely helpful. There is a $50per night security deposit. You can give it in cash or they put a hold on your credit card. If you budget is tight you should know this. There is a $15 + tax "resort fee." What this gets you is a continental breakfast for two, two cocktails in the afternoon, 2 bottles of water, free wifi and beach towels and chairs for the beach each day. I've been charged resort fees before in Las Vegas and didn't get any of this stuff so if you make use of it, then it's value for money. In fact the cocktails are worth the $15 on their own- they were delicious and they packed more punch than $20 Liter cocktails sold at the restaurants down the road. The wifi is ok - it has enough power to check emails/facebook but if you skype or stream tv with it, then it will completely shut down after 5min. Be warned: the tour company pushed through the hotel "half price tours" can be disorganized. So make sure you pop into there office on Washington Av to confirm bookings. $61 for everglades, city tour and boat ride was great value. But for our Orlando tour they forgot to pick us up on the allocated day, when we rebooked the driver drove like a maniac talking on his phone the whole time. Just be weary there is a reason why they are cheaper than other tour companies.

“not at all impressed”

Due to the high temperatures we had to use the air condition. The van was so noisy we hardly could sleep and had to use earplugs. The "new" renovation of the hotel seems to be done quite some while ago... Although the concept of the interior is appealing it has seen its best time and is a bit run down and shabby. The window of our hotel room hardly had any space without bird droppings. The staff was friendly.

“Nothing like website description...”

On arrival we wher given vouchers for a cocktail and breakfast for another Hotel. When we went for arrival drink the rudiness was that bad we up and left to go our room. A bigger surprise was waiting.The room was dirty, noisy and had a pair of grips on a pipe to stop a leak. We left immediately, informed reception to lose our two days payment. He also said we will be charged one day resort fee!! A very bad experience from an international traveller who is tolerant... Not at this place.
