“Missing The Palms Hotel & Spa already!!!”
My husband and I stayed at The Palms hotel & Spa in Dec 2011. Everything was great! The bed is the softest ever!!! All rooms now have refurbished bathrooms. That was great. We've stayed there 2ce already but the refurbishment was definitely a great idea! We stayed in a superior Ocean View room. Room was spacious and big! We used the new spa which was good too. We had the chance to look at different superior Ocean view rooms. Those in the middle are not as big as the ones at the end of the hotel. However beware of the trees blocking your view if you choose a superior Ocean room on a low floor. We moved from the 5th to the 8th floor and that made a big difference! Service within the hotel, by the pool and on the beach was fab! In all, I cant wait to go back!!! No bad thing to say!!
“Great hotel right on the beach”
The hotel is well located and accessible to many areas of Miami and its location right on the beach is very convenient. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and well laid out. Spa services and facilities were very good.
“GREAT BEACH FRONT HOTEL”
NICE ROOMS , GREAT POOL AND BEACH. GREAT SERVICE.
“fantastic”
Hotel was fantastic, only downside was very expendsive
“Choose any other hotel but this one..if you want privacy this is not for you”
Front desk attendant was extremely rude, with service in the restaurant the same. It appeared the staff was more interested in appearing "cool and hip" then attending to the patrons. The $30 breakfast was slow to arrive, and the waiter never returned to refill coffee or water. At about midnight, my room had a "thumping" sound that happened every 30 minutes or so. When I went to the front desk at 6 am, the managers only response was "why didn't you come downstairs and have someone look at it". I was not offered a solution and the staff just "smirked" when I politely complained. Also, the bathroom is designed to appear modern, except the bathroom door are glass and did not close completely. This meant it was absolutely not private or soundproof, so if you are traveling with a companion they will hear you using the toilet. This was not acceptable. Do NOT stay here, there are so many more beautiful hotels in South Beach, just as beautiful and modern, with staff that is more willing to be friendly and polite.
“Girl's Weekend”
I stayed at The Palms in Miami Beach with a friend for a weekend getaway in September. The service at the hotel was excellent. We arrived at the hotel 10am Friday morning and they allowed us to check in right away because our room was ready. The room itself was superb. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable. The hotel as a whole looks and feels like a 5 star hotel on the inside. The back of the hotel is set up like a tropical paradise with direct access to the beach and private lounge chairs and umbrellas. As for getting around Miami Beach from the hotel it was very easy with a bus stop a block away. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pampered, comfortable stay. Our only issue was that either the pipes or the air ducts were making loud banging noises ever 30mins, it was tolerable but just got annoying when sleeping.
“Good try but poor results”
Hotel first imprecion was good. The hotel lost power, TV worked poorly, the room temperature got to be very unconfortable. No offers for accomodations. If I had not payed ahead of time throw Expedia would have checked out and stayed some place else or retirned home. The streets are been repaired and when rains (every day) they flood. The place has a lot of potencial and very nice staff but the results, poor at best.
“Excellent”
Perfect! Can go wrong! Will go back next year!
“Must Stay”
Comfortable, warm and consederate services, clean room, nice environment
“Very Satisfied!”
Totally recommend this hotel. Went to Miami in July and hotel amenities are awesome if you are looking to enjoy the beach. Great service and very convenient if you have children. Close to touristic places in the South Beach area.
