“Nice hotel, shame about the location”

The hotel is very nice; clean, well equipped, well maintained etc. My issue with it was that it was 10-15 minutes walk to any sort of main road where you could try and flag down a taxi, which is needed to get to any of the tourist destinations around the city. If you have a car then this wouldn't be a problem, but we didn't.

Area recommendations

The Brickell part of Downtown is a lively area. South Beach is good but expensive.

“fine for a quick overnight”

The room and hotel are nicely decorated. The bed was too hard and uncomfortable and they do not police the gym or pool areas. There was a large family with several young children who insisted on playing on the fitness equipment while the one adult did his workout and ignored the noise and chaos they were causing the other guests. Also they advertisedaa free shuttle on their website to anywhere within 3 miles but charged us $5 pp to go to the port which ws within the 3 mile radius.

“Convenient to Medical centers”

We stayed here to attend the Miami Miller School of Medicine interview. The medical centers are within walking distance so need to find parking which is great. Must travel to any restaurants, shopping, attractions but hotel is convenient to highway access.

“Surprising hotel for the neighborhood”

Like an oasis in the desert, you'll find spacious rooms, nice breakfast area, secure, indoor parking and even a swimming pool located next to a very busy interstate and otherwise crummy neighborhood. Thank goodness you don't (shouldn't) go outside the hotel boundary to get eveything you need. I had a room for 2 nights. It was located facing the interstate and the sound came through the window. I am a sleeper, so it didn't keep me awake, but if you're a light sleeper, make sure you geta room on the other side.

“nice place”

Not a great neighborhood but a very nice, clean place with friendly staff, good breakfast buffet (included) and very comfortable room with accessible bathroom (my most important "feature" on this trip). most places that offer accessible bathroom offer only one bed, this hotel includes two queens. good shuttle service to surrounding hospitals.
