“A hotel, super close to the airport”

it's a little loud, but it's worth it for how close it is to the airport (5 min? at the most). my room was basic and clean. The staff is friendly. It would be in a sketchy area in the wee hours if there were not so many people coming from and going to the airport...so it felt completely comfortable. I would stay here again if I have another early flight from MIA.

“Reflections from an oversees visitor”

Considering I chose the online mystery hotel option I am glad to say that I was lucky enough to receive good hospitality in the Regency. The Jamaican bar man is a good choice to run a bar with his wit and 'good vibes' demeanour. Arguably underpriced and with free shuttle services tom Dolphin Mall, international Mall and obviously the airport. I would stay here again.

Area recommendations

The locality sufficed and enjoyed meeting the locals.

“Accommodating”

The Regency Hotel is accommodating. It very close to the Miami airport, it has comfortable beds and has a nice pool and great room service. People were very nice. I spent 2 days there and it was close enough to get to the offices I needed to get to, the Dolphin Mall, the hospital I ended up needing, the CVS and of course, the Airport itself. I think it was accommodating for my business trip.

Getting there

It is 5-7 minutes from the Airport and it's about $10-12 taxi trip if you don't use their personal Shuttle bus.

“not bad for short stays”

Spent one night for a meeting and wanted a hotel with airport shuttle. Waited 1/2 hour for shuttle even though I saw other hotel shuttles go by multiple times. Hotel was clean, pool area beautiful and staff friendly. Accomated me with late check out at no charge. Staff was hard to understand because of heavy accents and the food was just so so but otherwise no complaints.

“It was all good”

“Good one night stop over”

“Not Impressed”

I have stayed before at this hotel and the service was very good, at this time, absolutly horrible. I asked for bateries for my remote control since my check in until the departure and never got them. also the TV in the room is a very old TV. but the sevice in all the areas has dropped dramatically.

“Worst stay in Miami EVER...”

Several problems, First the shuttle was really taking its time, I saw several other hotels that were just as close as the Regency two or three times before the Regency showed up...Second Our driver nearly didnt stop to pick us up, I had to run after him and knock on the window...Then he got out and yelled at me in spanish...Then loaded our bags making us wait in the heat instead of letting us in the bus first...Then he never said anything to me or my wife..Once arriving no bell hop though I saw him helping others...Then getting into the room was the easiest part...Once in the room, one of the 5 lamps didnt work, and the others were so dim that I could barely read with all of them on...The tv remote didnt work, the WIFI was great though very fast...However there was a balcony with no place to sit, the air conditioning was terrible on Low setting at 1 it froze me out and frankly I love the cold. I wear short sleeve shirts in the winter in Indiana...I love the cold and it was too cold. .Then no extra blankets, the tv had lines on many of the channels, the continental breakfast was around ten dollars plus a five dollar delivery charge, and a 15% gratuity if you had it delivered. Last there was a piece of metal in the bathroom that I almost cut myself on in the middle of the night it was on the wall where something was supposed to be and it was near the switch...Then after complaining I was told the Manager would call me, I called several times and he has never called back....

Miami is beautiful city, and even the taxi drivers seem to be friendly and knowledgeable....
