“Hotel needs improvements”

The front desk and valet service were professional and efficient. The room had old carpet and dirty blinds. There was even a couple of cockroaches in my room. There was no room service menu in my room and I when i repeatedly tried to contact room service I could not get through. I have stayed at the Newport before but this time there was an obvious deterioration in the quality of rooms and service.

“Beach is the best part of this hotel.”

If you are looking for a great beach front location and a nice pool area and are okay with everything beyond the lobby and common areas being runned down and not impressive this is a good value for the Miami area. When you walk in the lobby/entrance area is impressive and beautiful, and the pool area is wonderful with the beach steps away. The hallways are dirty, the rooms are way past due for an update. But for a less expensive stay beachfront this place is it!

“Nice but a little run down”

Good for the price. A little run down, but over all good. Self parking is across the street. It's a bit off a pain to go back and forth. The beach was nice.

“Good for families”

Not a party area the rooms are outdated. I also called room service 3 times just for a blanket they never came. Not a bad place but I personally would never stay there again

“Don't bother going here if you want peace and quite”

They gave us a room on the first floor with ocean view all seem great but they where renovating the 1st floor !!! Every morning got awaken by drills and someone breaking up the tiles in the room next to us then a enormous steam cleaner started shortly after for two days steaming the hall carpets! and to top it off our room was directly across from the house keeping service elevator ! non stop people with walkie talkies and yelling and doors banging all morning long! There is no place to park the car with out a charge , valet was $19 day ! and $12 a day for a lot across the street of a 4 lane street.. not the best for convenience. Hot tube was broken all four days I was there .. Find another place !!!

“Far from everywhere!”

I will never stay here again! NEVER! It's far from where "Miami" is. For an out-of-towner who knows nothing about the Miami geography, this place is far from where I was led on to believe. Taxi fare from airport to this place is $50 whereas fare to where the real "Miami" is costs only $24! There is nothing in the neighbourhood - not even a burger joint. Neighbourhood is old. Hotel is old. Everything is poorly maintained. "City view" rooms face two huge air-conditioning fans plus 12 smaller electric fans that hum all day and all night and drive you crazy! ... Well, you get what you paid for. There is no "miracle" here. Buyer beware!

“Nice hotel but parking at the beach is suck. Too expensive for parking”

Hotel is nice but the condition of the hotel is under maintenance. There is no alternative to valet parking. Cut throat parking fee.
