“Hotel is Fine”

I stayed for one night prior to taking a cruise. The hotel is fine. The rooms are in need of renovation but they were certainly sufficient. Not sure about how good the location is because we weren't there to check out Miami. For the price I paid it was a great deal.

“Not that great”

Rooms are not great at all. Need to be renovated. Alot of carpet stains, mold in bath shower, and window tint ripped apart. Front desk didn't help me out that much. I found a manager on duty and she did help out. Offered me to chang rooms, credit my account and complimentary dinner for 2 with drinks and breakfast. That made up for it at least. Besides that, i will find another hotel with better front desk service and clean rooms.

“Good Value”

The Hyatt is centrally located and is a good value however, its age is definitely showing. The bathrooms in particular are small and outdated; the carpets in need of replacing and our room was without internet capability. In other words, conveniences you come to expect from a Hyatt were lacking here. On the positive side, the bed was extremely comfortable and the buffet breakfast, included in the price of the room, was excellent.

“very pleasant, satisfying stay”

I went for a seminar at the hotel. The staff were very pleasant, the room was clean and comfortable. Although the cofeemaker in the room did not work. The hotel is located in the downtown area and there's not much to do if your planning on going out for cocktails, etc. There are little shops, and restaraunts etc. where you can get sandwiches, etc. I'd recommend this hotel if your in the area for business but if your going to visit the beach your probably better off staying in midtown or near Miami Beach if you can. But the hotel itself was a very pleasnt stay.

“We had an awesome stay at the hyatt”

We had a 3 night stay at the hyatt, loved the view of the room, bed was super relaxing, internet connection was good, FOOD WAS EXTREMELY GOOD, we loved the fact of room service in less then 30 min! If you are going shopping you are like 20-25 min away from the dolphin mall and close to bayside marketplace! Ask for the roundtrips by the hotel, you will end up spending less then using a taxi! Eventhough by bus it takes 3x the time to arrive........We will definitly go back to the hyatt regency miami!

“Miami worst 4 star hotell”

Management was great in understanding how bad the service was. Kept comping us to make up for all the mistakes and water issues. No hot water in one room. Room not cleaned. After being prommissed the room would be cleaned it wasn't. When they did clean the room they never replaced the towels. Food in the hotel was good though!

Getting around

Get a rental. Expedia has great rates. But ask the concierge before going anywhere because you may find that parking is more or less expensive than taxis/shuttles going to your destination. This is rare, however, and the rental allows for much more flexibility

Must see

Must take the Duck Tour. There are several out there but this one goes from ground to water and you get to see the celebrity homes along the Bay. The Duck Tour Guide Eric was super Funny and knowledgeable Also go to Washington Ave for shopping

Shopping

If you go to Bayside Marketplace you get a mixture of shopping, music and great food. YOu may also opt to just take a walk along the bay!

Dining

For Breakfast we ate at a soulfood restaurant with these collossal waffles! Try Jackson's Restaurant on NE 3rd Ave. Anyone that visits Miami MUST try the Cuban Food. If you go to Bayside try the Latin American Restaurant (I believe that is actually the name) and try anything with the plaintains on the side. While waiting for your food they give you plaintain chips and green chile- Yummy!! and I must not forget the best Mojito Ive ever tasted was at this very restaurant.

Nightlife

If you like partying, Vegas style, Try the Mansion. I didn't go this time (opens at 11pm some nights and i fell asleep) but I've been in the past and loved it! If you like Adult "entertainment" and an opportunity to see some celebs try King of Diamonds but be advised it is very urban.

Outdoors or beach

Oceans Blvd on South Beach! You can start off at Lincoln Ave where there's a shopping area packed with souvenir shops, couture shops and nice restaurants. From there you can walk over to beach and along the strip there are several restaurants and good music.
