“Nascar trip”

Great motel. Service was wonderful. Not too far from airport. Breakfast is filling, not great. But a lot farther from Homestead than we anticipated. Took over 30 minutes just to get to the racetrack. (Be prepared for at least 2 hours when leaving the races). NOT happy with the channels on theTV. They advertised for the Nascar race, but they don't even have the Speed channel. May seem picky, but that's why I was there. Also, traffic to and from racetrack is TERRIBLE. HW 1 is too crowded and you'll get lost on the toll roads. Very close to Dadeland Mall (right around the corner) and you HAVE to go there at least once. They are very willing to help if you forgot something or need anything. Even had homemade cookies when we arrived. Loved the guy working nights when we were there. Always had a friendly greeting and a smile when we entered. Even asked how the race was showing he remembered we were there for the race. Now I LOVE that kind of service.

Area recommendations

Dadeland is fine, nothing wrong with the city. Has great shopping. But the roads are terrible. I wouldn't want to drive in Miami if you paid me. Glad my son did all the driving but he even said he didn't want to drive there ever again.

Events and shows

If you love Nascar, you should go to the Miami-Homestead race at least once in your lifetime. That was one thing I will NEVER regret doing. But if you go, prepare in advance, ask others that have been to a race, search for tips online. Go to the website to read the do's and don'ts. Be prepared for random rain showers. If you don't like people smoking around you, sit as high up as possible. You may have to ignore some of the "drunk" rednecks, but not everyone is like that. The drivers and a lot of the crowd, are very educated, well-mannered, and act responsibly.

“Best Location”

Hampton Inn Dadeland has a pretty good location surrounded by famous brands stores (Best Buy, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Dadeland Mall, etc) e warmful staff!

“Extremely clean, comfortable, quiet and convenient”

We were very impressed with this hotel. Friendly staff, very clean rooms where they even wash the bed spreads for each new guest. The complimentary breakfast is huge, with the normal continental breakfast enhanced with scrambled eggs, sausage / ham, make your own waffle, and a choice between decaf, regular, and robust coffee. We chose the robust which was rich and full with no bitterness. All in all a great place to stay and very close to major shopping centers.

“Nice accomodation, comfortable rooms”

I stayed there 3 nights and it was really good. Very convenient if you are looking for a place near to coral gables. Don't expect to much of the breakfast, it's not a big deal, just waffles, some baggles, bread, scrambled eggs and if you wake up early you could find some yoghurts.

“Good value accomodations with great breakfast”

This Hampton Inn is conveniently located if you are visiting the greater Miami area. With trips to the Everglades, Key West, and the beaches, some days we would head one way, and other days the other. Hotel rooms and facilities are kept up reasonably well. We had a late evening plumbing issue, and the manager himself came up and took care of it when no one else was available. The only problem was arranging a roll away bed; the hotel was very full, and despite their promises they couldn't get it to us for the first few days. You will want to have a car if you stay here, but parking is free. There were a few chain restaurants at the near by mall. The staff at the hotel really is friendly, and they make an effort to make their guests feel welcome.

“Miami's hotel”

It is very clean and with nice staff. It is far from Miami beach , but it is a nice neighborhood. and parking is not an issue. It is worthy, and I recommend it.

“Sleep over one night hotel”

The Hotel was everything i expected of a Hampton Inn. I was there only one night on my way to another destination so just needed a clean, safe, comfy place to sleep close to Dadeland Mall to do some shopping. The only inconvenience was the A/C system, it is not central system neither a split but and old set which made so much noice all of a sudden that didnt let us sleep. We had to turn it off, which was ok because it wasnt hot that night, rarely for Miami. Breakfast was fine
