“It is simple but very Nice to save money for people who get cruise!”
The hotel is very simple. Good location. We were mear to the seaport and did not want to spend money for One night. Do not recommend if you silo stay more nights.
“Good stay!”
This was a good stay for a small family. We traveled with a toddler and the room was comfortable for all of us. Location was close to South Beach.
“Considering the immense number of nasty hotels in miami, this ones decent..”
Eight of my girlfriends and I stayed here for a night before we departed for a cruise. The hotel was close to the Port of Miami (maybe 2-3 miles) which made for a cheap cab ride. The hotel lobby was clean and the staff was friendly. They had over booked the two double bed rooms so instead of getting two of these rooms as planned, they gave us 4 single bed rooms at no extra charge...totally fine with me! They were very accommodating. Each of our rooms had a mini kitchen and a desk which was nice. My only complaints were that our rooms were supposed to be non smoking but all 4 of the rooms they gave us smelled like smoke and the beds were very hard. I do think this hotel was pretty good considering our budget and the fact that most hotels in Miami are rather expensive. At any rate, the hotel lobby and rooms were pretty clean and while I wasn't blown away, I would consider staying here again.
“Worst place I've ever stayed!”
We had to switch moves due to our bathroom having water all over the floor which was leaking from the ceiling. Once we got to another room it was disgusting. It was dirty, smelled, and the location is in a rather seedy part of town. We only had to stay there 1 night, but didn't even want to do that. We got up super early the next morning just to get out of there. Neither of us showered (to nasty) and slept in our clothes for not wanting to get our PJ's we needed for the rest of the week dirty. We aren't high maintanence- we love to camp, but expect a room to not be dirty. The 2 good things I can say- no bugs, and we could keep our car parked there without a fee which is hard to find in Miami.
“Probably not again”
Next time i go to miami i will most likely not stay here. The employees were nice, the room was ok but the bed was hortrible!!
“Will never go back”
This hotel was dirty, rundown, and in a bad neighborhood. Will never go back.
“Never Again”
We stayed at this hotel because we were taking a cruise out of Miami and according to the map this place was less than a mile from the cruise port. Needless to say it was at least five miles from the port and was in a bad neighborhood. I'm just thankful that I decided to get a rental car at the last minute before we left the airport (we had planned to walk and take taxis). I overheard a fellow guest informing the front desk agent that his vehicle had been broken into the previous night. There was no shuttle service.
“Good enough for what we needed”
This hotel was nice. My girlfriend and I were in Miami to see the Heat play the Cavaliers and also do a little hanging out. For that reason, this hotel was more than adequate. Close to downtown Miami, clean rooms and a Walgreens across the street. I would definitely chose this hotel again.
“Try to not go here, ever!”
We decided to stay in the port of Miami the night before our cruise, so we chose one of the only open hotels in the area that weekend. After a nightmare 2 hour ride from the Fort Lauderdale airport (don't take a shared ride, you'll regret it) we arrived in this sketchy part of town. The first thing that struck us about this hotel was the smell. It smelled of curry and other various spices mingled together to make the most terrible smell ever created. Luckily, there was a WONDERFUL Italian restaurant around the corner, so you don't have to walk very far to get good food. The mattress was extremely hard and the pillows all smelled of the same curry/meat/cigarette smoke smell. I would try to avoid this place like the plague, unless you want to stay there for a few months, because the other residents seemed to be happy..
“Expect the Minimum”
We were looking for an inexpensive hotel to stay at during a conference. The pros of this one is that it was fairly cheap, clean, accessible from downtown via the free MetroMover, and was close to a grocery store. The staff was also very friendly. The cons were that they really do offer the bare minimum. Every service costs extra, like wifi. You even have to pay extra to have your room cleaned during the day. The kitchenette also had a strange mish mash of cutlery (only 2 of anything), although that's not a big deal. Oh, and if you want a wake-up call, forget it. They don't offer the service - even for an extra fee. We also did have one night where we were woken up by the barking dogs in the next room over. All in all - it wasn't a bad stay for the price (considering Miami pricing). It's clean and has a convenient location without being right downtown. Just be aware that it's not going to be a romantic or luxurious experience.
