“Honeymoon stay at the Essex”

We stayed at the Essex Hotel for the first two nights of our Honeymoon. We had the best and most welcoming reception by the staff when we arrived. They were just super friendly and had arranged flowers, drinks and cake for us when we arrived and it just made us feel so special. The location is great and the hotel is very nice and tidy. I would come back here everytime I was in the area and highly recommend it.

Elegant, classy hotel. NOT stuffy. Staff is wonderful. In the middle of everything you go to South Beach for. One short block from Ocean Drive and the beach. I like that it is quiet day and night. I have stayed on Ocean Drive where it is SO loud day and night. Hard to get a good night's sleep. I can't wait to return to Essex House.

Staff here was amazing! location is pretty much where its at! free drinks in the lobby m-f 430-530- and an amazing japanese restaurant/bar in hotel! parking at $25 a day- uh- not so great!!!!! valet will cost you $29..

This hotel is in a great location and has all the benefits of being able to use the facilities of the sister hotel next door, whilst also benefiting from being a lot quieter than it's counterpart! Very stylish and great cocktails available at the bar.

“Great Experience”

We stayed for 5 days for our anniversary and had a wonderful time at the Essex. The atmosphere is lovely, including a beautiful courtyard, charming lobby, bar and patio. Our room ("suite") was large and comfortable. There were a few minor issues (somewhat dim, pillows a bit thick) but the bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi was great! The best part is the staff - they were incredibly helpful and seemed genuinely happy to be there.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Essex House Hotel. Staff was super friendly and everything from vallet parking to receptionists worked like a charm. Such professional all-around service with a great atmosphere. To be honest, we didn't expect all this with this price. It's granted this will be our hotel of choice once we go back to Miami!
