“Get rid of all smoking rooms”

I arrived late and they only had smoking rooms left. I suggested that these days it's pretty outdated to even have smoking rooms, but they responded that a certain contingent HAS to be smoking - as required by headquarters?! Also, the shuttle frequency of just a half hour seems too INfrequent for a hotel in this category. Other hotels' shuttles came by 2 or 3 times before my shuttle showed up. Late at night, there's no pleasure there.

“Not bad if Sheraton Airport not available”

It is out of the way. Hallway was dirty. But rooms were clean, staff very friendly. I would not choose to go to this hotel or recommend it but it was not horrific.

“Great for a one night stop-over”

There is nothing around this hotel except for the adjacent "Merchandise Mart", which I enjoyed as it had a fabulous selection of costume jewelry and accessories with great prices. Great place to explore for a few hours. We found out as we were leaving that there were actual shuttles to a nearby Mall and from the Cruise Terminal (which we did not know). Next time we will phone and ask more questions! Supper at the Rioje Grill was SUPER, the pool was lovely, so a night here is no hardship. NOT good for several days in Miami as everything is too far. We had a bit of trouble getting the temperature just right and our toilet made a long shrieking sound for about 20 seconds each time you flushed, plus the coffeemaker did not work. The bed was comfy and the room spacious. I'd come here again for a 1 night stopover before or after a cruise if the price was right. The staff were really friendly and greeted you with a warm oatmeal chocolate-chip cookie --- nice touch!

“dust everywhere”

Its a king room but every time they cleaned we only received one wash cloth. Called to front desk on day 2 and no one never came with additional was cloths. Looked under the bed and the dust I saw was unbelievable.

“Out of the way”

The hotel is in the middle of no where. Also, maintenance could be a little better. Missing a door handle to the exercise room. Elevators in repair. Otherwise the room itself was great. Very comfortable bed.

“Double Tree Experience”

I booked at Double Tree cause their location. Its just few minutes from the airport. The hotel is not a Hilton 5stars, but its not so far. Its simple, nice rooms, very confortable beds. I did not take breakfast! Try yourself!

“Pleasant stay”

I was hesitant about booking a night of business travel after reading some of the recent reviews. There were no signs of construction, the staff was pleasant and prompt and the room clean. I can agree that the wifi was painfully slow.

“Will not book again”

“Disappointed”

Heavy construction noises going on until 7:30PM in the hotel lobby. Room service doesn't pick up the phone. Ordered breakfast and toast missing butter and jam. Called room service to complain. NO ANSWER. Called front desk to have room service call back. Never called.
