“Great to stay if youre planning on going to see the Dolphins play”

This hotel is not reccomened if youre planning on visiting Miami itself, its great location for visiting the Sun Life stadium, home of the Dolphins, apart from that its not ideal as the reception staff ddi not reccomend for us to leave the hotel premises unless to drive somewhere as its a gator community!!

“Very good hotel experience”

The staff was all very polite and helpful. The A/C unit in the room was awfully loud and kept us up at points during the night. The location is fairly good for access to the Calder Casino and Sun Life Stadium, but we found that it is not very practical to walk to these locations as the pathways are not lit or paved. Overall our visit to this hotel was very good.

“It's OK - Not alot to do in the surrounding area of the hotel”

It was okay. Somewhat in an 'iffy' area. Would not recommind walking back from Sun Life Stadium in the dark. Daylight was fine except for crossing busy 4 and 5 lane intersections. Pedestrians do not have the right of way in Miami. Taxi drivers do not like transporting folks back from Sun Life to El Palacio because it is too close. Be prepared to be yelled at whether you walk or try to take a taxi. The hotel does not offer local transportation. No dining available within walking distance. Legends Sports Grill (located in hotel) is not always open so check times and dates. It had a continental breakfast. The hotel itself was safe, clean, and convenient to Sun Life Stadium. Staff was pleasant. The front desk offered printing my boarding pass.

“Sports a plenty”

Decent room, hotel right next door to race track, casino, and Sun Life stadium. Upset that sports themed restaurant was closed for "summer season". Decent pool and mini golf course. Kinda weird access from Florida turnpike...had to use back alley a lot to avoid paying unnecessary toll.

Area recommendations

Beaches within short drive distance. Enjoyed Butterfly World, Miami Seaquarium, and Gator Park (all within 30-40 minutes)

“Out of the Way and Forgotten”

This hotel was no where near any bars or restaurants. We stayed here because we went to the Marlins game and the walk was very, very far in the Florida heat. They have a sports bar in the hotel but it was closed. It is closed all summer. We can't understand why the hotel sports bar is closed during baseball season. So basically we had to drive to leave the hotel to eat and do anything else. Very disappointing. We walked to the nearby casino (a much closer walk than the stadium), but the casino was not impressive either. There weren't any table games there. The beds were hard as rocks! It was like sleeping on the floor.

Area recommendations

I would not stay in Miami Gardens ever again.

Getting around

Do not anticipate the ability to walk to the stadium or any restaurants or bars (except for the casino).

“Great hotel for a sports travel”

Very close to Sun Life Stadium, great for a sports travel to watch a Marlins or a Dolphins game. Even your wife is not so far from Aventura Mall, Pembroke Pines or even Sawgrass Mills. The surroundings are not so good, but if you rent a car, is OK to move through freeways.

“Have gotten better for lower price”

The TV in the room to the left seemed to be right at my head and they had it on all night, could not sleep, and every time they closed their door the wall shook and the headboard seem to be attached to the wall so the entire bed moved.

“Comfortable but could be cleaner”

The hotel appeared to have been a great hotel in its day but no longer. The was food on the rug and the bathroom needed a good mopping. The mattresses need updating or atleast decent mattress pads.

“"Good on a budget"”

I really don't have and complaints. I didn't take advantage of the amenities. My only complaint was the plumbing. My shower and sink both clogged. Aside from that, it was ok.

Area recommendations

Pembroke Pines Mall and Sawgrass Mills Outlet Mall. It's a good distance from the hotel but it's worth the visit.

“Pack Your Pistol to Stay Here”

Terrible hotel, very unprofessional staff. Long check in process. Neighborhood is undesirable and so are the guests.
