Let me say that I have never given a review before but felt compelled to write one after staying at the Edgewater. After getting off a cruise that ported in Miami I needed to book a hotel. Although I love the Besty Hotel I was reluctant to stay there because the rooms were small for the rate that I could afford so I booked an Oceanview room at the Edgewater. I proceeded to go to the front desk and ask about an early check-in since I was waiting in Starbucks with my luggage. The guy at the front desk informed me that there was a Superior Oceanview Deluxe room that was available immediately at no extra cost. The room was a one bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms. They also had a rooftop with complimentary wine from 6-7pm. The only downside that I could see being a problem was the thin walls but other than that I enjoy my stay here and will definatately stay here again.

The Edgewater South Beach Hotel in Miami Beach is an architectural gem with elegance and charm, located in the heart of the …More
Lovely hotel, perfect location on the beach. Very laid back 'chilled vibe' Rooms trendy, beds comfy and walk in shower perfect! Room maids where very attentive. On day 1 we had welcome cakes and on day 2 we had detox drinks, nice touch along with the turndown service. 'The resort fee' of 20 bucks a day was a bit of a joke but the pool assistance where good in making up your sun loungers with towels and supplying us with cooling towels infused with mint and lemon, very nice on a hot day. Please note the pool is north facing and looses all sun by 4pm so hit the private beech for longer sun days or head up to the roof top hydro pool.
We upgraded to a part ocean view business room, well worth it for the view alone.
Overall very nice hotel and would recommend to friends and family.
The decorating in this 1926 hotel could not be more interesting. Keeping the best of the old, they transformed it into a work of art.
The staff was cool, efficient. Rooms, get a one king over a 2 king if possible. Rates are great.
Ocean Ave. Is mostly very noisy bars and restaurants on the first floor, the hotel above.
Lord Balfour is one block off the noisy part, just perfect.
I really, really enjoyed this one of a kind.
Friendly, accomodating and attentive staff. Clean comfortable standard room with a view of the ocean. Considering where the hotel is located I was surprised that street noise was not an issue. We will make a return visit, but next time will book a room with a balcony.
The Nash was exactly what we were looking for! A central location in the mix of everything. We have not a single complaint about the room we stayed in or the service we recieved. For those that have never been to South Beach, every hotel needs work. They are all old and have been all have been rennovated several times. Plus, if you are going somewhere looking to to stay in the hotel the whole time, you have no business in Miami in the 1st place. My wife and I have been to Miami 6 or 7 times. We have stayed in the top two or 3 rated hotels on South Beach before and several others in between. The Nash is the best value on the beach. If you compare price, rooms, ammenities, staff, and location, the Nash would win for us, hands down.
Jaime, Evan, Jose, Benny, Jonathan, Reyneir, and the rest of the Nash staff are awesome. I want to definitely thank them for making our anniversary/ her birthday celebration a blast. We will definitely be back and the Nash will be our 1st choice.
