What a quaint and relaxing place to stay. We booked this hotel last minute when our previous plans changed and were very happy with our choice! The small hotel is in a farming community, with wonderful views from the infinity pool. The owner Arnaud is an incredible chef as well and we had an amazing dinner and breakfast. The room was comfortable, although the decor was a little dated. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat…this is your place!

Characterful hotel in lovely countryside
Hôtel de La Ferme de Lamy is a lovely ‘get away from it all’ hotel. The property is well maintained and the rooms are well looked after (although ours looked a little old fashioned, but comfortable). We didn’t have dinner (being vegetarian in Perigord is tricky!) but the ‘continental’ breakfast served on the patio was good quality (if a little pricey). The setting of the hotel is lovely - the rolling countryside around it makes for a quiet and peaceful stay. The infinity pool is a very pretty place to unwind. The only negatives are the lack of air conditioning (we had very sticky, stormy weather) - even a room fan and fly-screens for the door would’ve helped - and weak WiFi. Other than those caveats, Hôtel de la Ferme Lamy makes for a good choice to stay.

Delightful Stay in Mayrels
Fabulous hosts, great room well furnished with exposed beams and clean, well-appointed bathroom. Lovely gardens and swimming pool. This property was easy to find as there was clear signage on the road leading to it. Our host gave lots of local information and suggestions of places to visit during our stay.

Beautiful hotel in fabulous surroundings
Most welcoming owners. Even our dog had a friend in the owners dog. Fabulous home cooked food. Beautiful setting and large comfortable room. We didn't want to leave.

Just wonderful and so peaceful.
Idyllic setting, lovely facilities - a wee gem. Great views from the terrace and from the infinity pool. Owners were wonderful - Michael in particular was so helpful and informative about the local area. One minor caution.....book in advance if you want to eat there...we didn't so had to eat elsewhere. However this again was made even easier by Michael who booked/arranged everything for us.

Pleasant stay in beautiful French countryside
Very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Beautiful location. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice but simple. Pool towels provided but a bit small. You will need transport to get to the local town.

Incredible stay
Recommend this hotel as a must stay. Michael the host was extremely helpful and friendly. He spoke good English which was a help. A delightful farm house that was extremely clean and private. Our room had views out over forests and deer sometimes come out and graze. (We were never up early enough to see them). Breakfast each morning was fantastic. Croissants, bread, cereal, cold cuts, cheese...all local produce. The farm is 13 km from Sarlet so you do need a car. Cannot speak highly enough of both the farm house and the host.

Deze oude boerderij is prachtig gerenoveerd en ligt midden op het Franse platteland. Je kunt er in alle rust genieten van het mooie zwembad en alle moderne voorzieningen.

Chambre petite, wc trop petits (faire attention de ne pas se cogner les genoux), draps et couvertures trop petits pour un lit déjà pas très grand, serrure en mauvais état. C'est vraiment le strict minimum !

Los dueños del hotel son absolutamente encantadores, os recomendamos que les pidáis consejo para excursiones, restaurantes... El lugar es precioso, la piscina una delicia! Y muy bien situado. Muy recomendable!

Bonne position près de Sarlat et des eyzies grand calme bel endroit ou les vieilles pierres se refletent dans la jolie piscine à débordement. L accueil est chaleureux et les petits déj consistants.

Nous avons séjourné en aout 2013 :prix trop elevé par rapport à la prestation : papier peint vieillot, pas de chaines Canal+, pas de bouilloire avec thé ou café, pour un relais du silence, nous entendions dans la chambre d'à coté un enfant courir jusqu'à 23h, (mais cela tout dépend des vacanciers). aucun restaurant à proximité, par contre la chambre était très propre.

Bel endroit,calme.Chambre un peu plus petite que celles vues sur la présentation mais suffisante pour 2 personnes (surtout la salle de bain).Petit jardin privatif de plein pied très agréable.Un orage ayant coupé l'électricité une partie de la journée nous avons eu droit à un petit déjeuner réduit que nous avons tout de même payé au prix normal

Fint litet ställe där lugnet råder. Fantastisk utsikt med vackra vyer och fint område (högt upp). Går bara att ta sig dit med bil men det gick lätt att hitta med gps. Rummen är med egen ingång och utanför varje rum fanns en liten uteplats med utsikt. Vi hade inte Ac i vårt rum, mend et behövdes inte då det var svala dagar. Ägarna är ett charmigt par som sköter servicen på ett bra sätt. Trevliga och hjälpsamma, och det kändes familjärt. Frukosten mycket trevlig och god (ingick ej). Vi åt middag en kväll i "restaurangen" och det var en färdig meny (dvs man kunde inte välja på något) och det var gott och stämningsfullt. Mannen serverade (lite amatörmässigt men han var också skoj) och vi gissar att det var frun som stod i köket. Hade varit trevligt med en mer lättillgänglig bar-verksamhet, så man med enkelhet hade kunnat få sig ett glas rosé vid poolen. Sammanfattningsvis: kan varmt rekommendera stället för den som är ute efter en lantlig idyll och lugn.
